Abstract:

EtherNet/IP is a superior mainstream industrial EtherNet which defines an open industrial standard and combines traditional EtherNet with industrial protocol, according to these advantages EtherNet/IP has a good prospect for development. In this paper the structure of EtherNet/IP protocol is analyzed, and the mainly EtherNet/IP data communication mechanism is discussed. The development method of EtherNet/IP communication software under Linux operating system is given. By using PCU - ETHIO board as experimental equipment, some experiments are carried out. The result of experiment has confirmed that, the research of EtherNet/IP data communication mechanism and the development scheme of EtherNet/IP communication implementation proposed in this paper are correct and effective.
