Study on Synthesis and Properties of a New Imidazoline Corrosion Inhibitor
Abstract:
A kind of soluble triphenyl-imidazoline quaternary-ammonium-salt was synthesized from benzoic acid, triethylene tetramine, and benzyl chloride. The structure of synthetic product was characterized by IR, and the corrosion inhibition performance was tested by static weight loss method. The corrosion-inhibiting rate of the imidazoline quaternary–ammonium-salt in the concentration of 1.0% was above 99.0%. In this paper, the compounding between the synthetics and I- was studied, and the results showed that the inhibition performance of synthetic inhibitor and its combined system was satisfying.
