The Design and Simulation of a Switch Reluctance Motor for the Transmission Auxiliary Start up and Brake

Article Preview

Abstract:

The equipment structure of auxiliary start up and brake for transmission is designed in this paper. The switch reluctance motor is selected because its advantages. The reluctance motor for transmission is designed roughly with empirical formula firstly. The characteristics of the switch reluctance motor are simulated with the design software of the Rmxprt for rotating motor. The power of the switch reluctance motor be designed is 26.85 kW with make full use of installation space. The software simulation results are close to the empirical design.
