Abstract: The MQ silicone resin was synthesized by using chlorotrimethylsilane and tetraethyl orthosilicate and its structure was analyzed by means of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, 29Si-nuclear magnetic resonance and gel permeation chromatography. The silicone based pressure sensitive adhesive was obtained by condensation polymerization between the MQ resin and methyl silicone rubber terminated with hydroxyl group. The structure of the adhesive was characterized by FTIR, and its thermal properties were investigated via thermogravimetic analysis. The results show that the MQ resin successfully had a condensation polymerization reaction with the silicone rubber. The pressure sensitive adhesive had excellent tack, peel strength and high temperature resistance properties.

Abstract: Vertically oriented, highly ordered TiO2 nanotube arrays were fabricated via electrochemical anodization of high purity Ti sheet and Ti foil, which is increasing importance due to their impressing properties in a variety of applications including dye-sensitized solar cells, hydrogen generation by water photoelectrolysis, potocatalysis, and gas sensor. The well aligned TiO2 nanotube arrays by potentiostatic anodization of Ti foil (with 0.3mm thickness) were constructed. We have achieved the self-aligned high ordered nanotube arrays in aqueous electrolyte containing HF and ethylene glycol electrolyte containing NH4F. Depending on the fluoride ion mobile velocity, the resulting nanotubes arrays exhibit the different morphology. The elaborated electrolyte on the morphology of the self-organized nanotubes arrays was investigated. Thermal annealing on the anodized Ti induced crystalline formation, which is confirmed by Raman spectroscopy measurement.

Abstract: The water based acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive was synthesized by seeded pre-emulsion polymerization, the influence of the amount of seeded pre-emulsion, and tri-functional aziridine crosslinker on the properties of the adhesive were studied. It was found that with the increase of the amount of seeded pre-emulsion, latex particle size decreases, contrasted with the increase of the viscosity, surface tension and contact angle of the emulsion; The aging performance of the adhesive can be significantly improved with the increase of the content of the crosslinker; compared with high temperature, high humidity has a more worse negative effect on the aging performance of the adhesive.
