Deepening Effect of Superfine Dyed Polyester by Escaping Electron-Beam Atmospheric Pressure Glow Discharge Plasma

Article Preview

Abstract:

Surface modification of the dyed polyester was performed by the combination of escaping electron-beam atmospheric pressure glow discharge plasma (APGDP) and softener was studied. Apparent depth was tested and the morphological change along the fiber was observed and analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Experimental results indicate that surfaces of the treated PET become rougher and have visible traces of etched, and the apparent depth are also significant increased. These results show that: deepening effect of PET is improved clearly and being a good durability.
