The Position and Role of MES in the CSG Information System

Abstract:

In this paper, the author conducts an analysis on the structure of China Shaogang (CSG) information system, and then makes an argumentation on the position and role of the manufacturing execution system (MES) in the CSG information system, and finally gives an introduction to the relationship between the MES and the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and also puts forward the opportunities and challenges that the MES is faced with in the specific implementation process.
