Affective Care to Drivers by an Interactive Automobile Interface System
Abstract:
Traffic jam has become a serious problem in modern life. More and more people are suffering a psychological disorder called road rage. To help drivers to release the negative emotion, we designed an interactive automobile interface as a visual inference. We established the RSM and RDM model to define the driving conditions, then analysed the different emotional appeals for driving. Here we invited 30 participants to observe and investigate. According to participants’ answers, we chose 5 emotions to correspond to driving conditions. After the implement, a valuation was also carried out to test the interface. It turned out that the interactive automobile interface provided a new driving experience, and the interactive visual inference were effective on releasing the negative emotion like anxiety, anger and depression.
