Abstract: Forest fire disaster area prediction based on genetic algorithm and support vector machine is presented in the paper.Genetic algorithm is used to select appropriate parameters of support vector machine. Genetic algorithm can obtain the optimal solution by a series of iterative computations.The forest fire disaster area data in Jiangxi Province from 1970 to 1997 are used as our research data. The comparison of the forest fire disaster area forecasting results between the proposed GA-SVM model and the SVM model is given,which indicates that the proposed GA-SVM model has more excellent forest fire disaster area forecasting results than the SVM model.

Abstract: As an advancing isolation technology, the first-floor isolated structure can take full use of the first-floor space, and has been promoted in southern China gradually. To study the isolation effect of the first-floor isolated structure and to improve the damping rate of it, a seven-story structural model with laminated rubber bearings and metallic dampers installed on the top of first-floor columns was studied by shaking table tests and finite element analysis using SAP2000 API. The results of the tests and analysis show that the isolation technology with metallic dampers can reduce the seismic response of the upper structure significantly.

Abstract: With the urbanization, the risk of urban flood disaster has been concern of pubic agency and academy. The related literatures were reviewed and these methods were evaluated. And then the approach for risk assessment of urban flood disaster was proposed based on elevation ladder data. These factor influencing flood process were taken into account such as terrain, elevation, drainage system, building site etc. The result suggests we can calculate the submerged scope and distribution of water depth more accurately and provide an important basis for loss assessment of the objective assessment and prediction analysis of flood disaster.

Abstract: The composite structure of row posture micro-piles is a light-weight protection structure for slope, which has the advantages of safe and quick construction, high adaptability to some special environment, and is suited to small size slope protection, especially in the emergency project. The design theory research of this composite structure is obviously deficient comparing to the engineering application. The basic requirement of the elastic foundation-beam theory application is that the foundation should be stable. Because of the row posture micro-piles composite structure improved the stability of slope, the resistant force in front of different location micro-piles is different. On the basis of the elastic foundation-beam theory, using the idea of the general micro-piles horizontal bearing capacity calculation method, the row posture micro-piles advantage have been revealed during the different calculated values of “m” and limited conditions of pile top large deformation. The computational formula of row posture micro-piles composite structure has been established on three basic calculation models, and the special response to seismic force has been calculated and analyzed in a practical case, which will provide certain reference for the micro-piles design.

Abstract: Based on the principle of fuzzy matter-element analysis, the concept of information entropy is introduced to establish a fuzzy matter-element evaluation method. This method is utilized to comprehensively evaluate the degree of debris flow. The classifications of debris flow are regarded as the objects of matter-element and their indexes for evaluation as well as the corresponding fuzzy values are used to construct the composite fuzzy matter-elements. By calculating the relevancy the comprehensive evaluation of debris flow can be carried out. This model is applied to analyze the degree of debris flow in the practical application. The application shows that the model is effective and practical.

Abstract: Numerical simulation methods were used in this paper , and the bending fatigue performance of reinforced concrete beam with CFRP by ANSYS were analyzed . the Fatigue Mechanism was studied , and obtained the raise the level of fatigue life of reinforced concrete beam with CFRP .The result shows CFRP can increase greatly its fatigue life and play a practical engineering guide.

Abstract: According to the shake table test results of a high-rising building with large local space, the dynamic characteristics of such structure are complex and the torsional mode becomes the first mode, while the torsional responses under earthquake excitation, especially of the floor just above the large local space, are very remarkable. Special measures are required for such structural system for maintaining its seismic safety. In this research, the bidirectional Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) is employed for reducing the torsional vibration of the high-rising building with large local space. The optimization of the TMD parameters, such as natural frequency, damping ratios and mass ratio, is performed. The time history analysis results indicate that the proposed bidirectional TMD is very effective in torsional vibration control.

Abstract: Power system related to the people's livelihood is an important lifeline and its rapid post-earthquake rehabilitation and reconstruction is particularly important. Considering the importance of power system, cost estimation method of post-earthquake rehabilitation of power system is proposed. Based on the direct economic losses of power system, post-earthquake rehabilitation cost is given by index of the post-earthquake adjustment factor which is put forward according to post-earthquake rehabilitation cost and direct economic losses of power system in “5.12” Wenchuan earthquake. Cost estimation method of post-earthquake rehabilitation of power system could provide good suggestions for post-earthquake rehabilitation work.
