The Synthesis and Performance Study of Complex of Calcium(II) and Maleic Amide Acid

Article Preview

Abstract:

Complex of calcium(Ⅱ) and maleic aniline acid had been synthesized based on maleic anhydride, aniline and calcium sulfate. Some effects of combined sequence and the structure and performance has been studied, Based on experiments one kind of Calcium maleic aniline acid salt were synthesized. The results showed that the complex of calcium(Ⅱ) with N-phenyl maleamic acid is light yellow powder, and its melting point is 195.25 °C. The chemical formula of the complex agreed with CaL2nH2O, where the N of amide group and O of carboxy group coordinated with calcium. The complex could be used as a thermal stabilizer for PVC due to its good effect on thermal stability of PVC. The molecular formulas of rare-earth maleic aniline acid salt were confirmed by element analysis DSC and UV. The thermal stabilities of calcium maleic aniline acid salts were researched through static methods. Indicated that the calcium maleic aniline acid salts has certain heat-stable function to PVC.
