Modification of Aminosilicone Oil with Long Side-Chain and its Application on Fabric Finishing

Article Preview

Abstract:

In the current work, aminopropyl silicone oil was prepared by condensation reaction followed by chemical modification with high reactive carbon-17 mono-isocyanate. The stability of the emulsion of modified silicone oil was found to be excellent as compared with the untreated silicone oil. The modified silicone oil afforded better yellowing resistance, softness and laundry endurance, with stiffness change only 6.94% and handle retention rate 88.89% after ten launderings.
