Abstract: The numerical simulation of residual stress in the joints of Ti-6Al-4V and ZQSn10-10 sleeve structure when Cu and Ni as interlayer was carried out by ANSYS. The results indicate that the residual stress harmful to the joint appears in the narrow zone adjacent to Ti-6Al-4V side where intermetallic compounds formed and sharply concentrates on the top and bottom surfaces due to edge effect. When Ni as interlayer, the stress distribution resembles that of Ti-6Al-4V/Cu /ZQSn10-10 joint, larger than the value when Cu as interlayer. It is beneficial for the residual stress dropping, when the suitable interlayer adopted. For interlayer, the linear expansion coefficient is close to the base metal and modulus of elasticity is small.

Abstract: Online fault non-destructive detection is crucial to the fabrication of high quality products of welds. In this study, a novel method in the field of weld whose name is Mahalanobis Distance Measurement (MDM) is illustrated and employed to determine whether welding faults have occurred or not. This method is based on an arc method which is employed to get the information of welding voltage and welding current. Through analyzing the calculation results of Mahalanobis Distance of the welding voltage and current signals, the important information of welding process has been obtained. At the meanwhile, whether a fault has occurred or not is decided. In order to verify the effect of the performance of the different width of the gap on the results of Mahalanobis Distance, two widths of the gap generated artificially were chosen: one is 2 mm and the other is 3 mm. The results of the experiment have demonstrated that using the thinking of Mahalanobis Distance to measure the weld faults is feasible.

Abstract: Fire resistance is required to sustain the structural stability when building elements are exposed to a severe fire condition. To evaluate the fire resistance of structural members such as columns and beams, fire engineers can apply either prescriptive methods or performance-based fire design. These two kinds of fire resistance evaluation methods have been developed independently and performance fire design consists mainly of an advanced and simple methods. The simple method stipulated in New Zealand and the U.K. use the limiting temperature. The values of the limiting temperatures of structural steel members were shown in the BS, SNZ, etc but the temperatures of individuals were not classified. In general steel columns were made of H-section but recently the hollow section is inclined to increase for its higher resistant of structural stabilities than any other sections. But the hollow section shows different pattern when it carry out the loads in the cold and is expected to show different behavior when it is exposed to fire. Therefore the limiting temperature of the hollow section is required for evaluation of fire resistance. The paper is to make the limiting temperature of the circular hollow section (CHS) with or without filling of concrete and variance of applied loads.

Abstract: The aim of the present research is to simulate dynamic behavior of the human auditoria peripherals during sound transmission using the equivalent six-degrees-of-freedom lumped parameter mathematical model. Transmissibility analysis was employed to get a better insight into the sound transmission from tympanic membrane to malleus, incus, stapes, and cochlea. Furthermore, transmissibility from each member to corresponding adjacent member was carried out to functional analysis of the human ear. Simulation study illustrated that the results are in agreement with the experimental results published in the literature, and the proposed model provides more information in the dynamic analysis of middle ear biomechanics.

Abstract: In the past, plastic injection molding (PIM) product quality was usually measured by one single quality characteristic or by multiple quality characteristic with independent parameters one another. In this study, optimization of process parameters using design of experiment (DOE), response surface methodology (RSM), and genetic algorithm (GA) were proposed to generate the optimal process parameters settings of multiple-quality characteristics. In the first stage, significant PIM process parameters can be determined by DOE screening experiments. Then the optimal process parameter settings are obtained via computer aided engineering (CAE) simulation integrated with RSM and GA, which are taken as practically initial settings of process-related parameters. The experimental results show that the propose optimization model is very successful and can be used in industrial applications.

Abstract: The manufacturing process of particle composite for furniture, made of waste paper and wood particle, was studied and discussed in this paper, and an ornament cabinet and a Chinese style teapoy were assembled in the laboratory with the composite. The results showed the mechanical properties of composite made of waste paper, was low. Wood particle was blended with waste paper and made into composite, and the mechanical properties of the composite could meet the demand of particle board for furniture and ornament under the Chinese national standard. The application of waste paper-based composite was feasible technically.

Abstract: Bimetallic rolls’ interfaces manufactured by liquid-solid bonding method have been studied in the manuscript. Effect of pretreatment method of roll core, pouring temperature and preheating temperature of core to the bonding of interfaces are analyzed. Line scanning to the element chromium is done with SEM, the effect of technology to the organize structure and element diffusion is researched; Shear stress experiment of interface is done to analyze the effect of technology to bond strength.

Abstract: In the era of lead-free solder joints, nickel palladium gold PCB for its superior reliability and economy, more and more favored by the market , because the coating is added to palladium , SMT technology parameters have to be changed , to get solder joints of high reliability , therefore, analyzed quality factors of affecting solder joint formation of SMT process , rationally designed experiment program , obtained relative experimental data , analysis of larger speciality signal noise ratios and means , obtained optimizing SMT technology parameter for new nickel palladium gold plating , according to optimize results, improving SMT technology parameter, successfully applied nickel palladium gold PCB to SMT process ,reduce cost, improve product quality, and achieved good economic benefit .

Abstract: In this paper, based on L-measure and O-density, a novel composition forecasting model is proposed. For evaluating this new composition forecasting model, a real data experiment by using the sequential mean square error was conducted. Based on O-density, the performances of Choquet integral composition forecasting model with the L-measure, Lambda-measure and P-measure, respectively, a ridge regression composition forecasting model and a multiple linear regression composition forecasting model and the traditional linear weighted composition forecasting model were compared. Experimental results show that the Choquet integral composition forecasting model with respect to the L-measure outperforms other 5 composition forecasting models.
