Finite Element Simulation Analysis for Cutter Head of Slurry Balance TBM

Article Preview

Abstract:

This study present a finite element model of Ф11.18m Slurry Balance TBM. Loads on the cutter head in different geological conditions and different working conditions is discussed and stress distribution of the cutter head in three typical working conditions is obtained. The stress distribution and deformation trend of the cutter head in various working conditions have been shown in this paper. Weak areas of structural strength and stiffness of the cutter head have been obtained and the dangerous condition has been identified through the analysis results. These results provide necessary reference to evaluate performance of the cutter head.
