Treatment Methods for Over Reinforcement of Coupling Beam in High-Rise Building Structure Design

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper analyzes the over-reinforcement of coupling beam in high-rise building structure design and proposes the relevant treatment methods and suggestions to provide references for designers. Coupling beam is a beam that is used to connect between wall limbs or wall limbs and frame columns in shear wall structures and frame – shear wall structures. A coupling beam generally has the features of small span, large cross section and high stiffness of the wall connected to it.
