Abstract: The Humble Administrator’s Garden, one member of the World Culture Heritage List, is topmost classic private garden south of the Yangtze River in China. Its rich plant landscape dynamics around buildings have active influence on today’s living environment. This study adopted coding approach to explore spatial dynamics of building environment. There were 13 sample plots, each of which centered around one building and 12m outward radiation, were surveyed in February and August 2010. There were altogether 53 tree species and 325 individuals which height and location were measured. Then tree height, defoliation, direction (relative to building) and spacing (distance from building) were divided into levels of 6, 2, 8 and 4 respectively. Each level was coded in order. So a tree had a four-digit code of the four factors. With the increase of tree height from level 1(1.0-3.0m) to level 5 (20.1-30.0m), percentages of individual were 30.2%, 25.8%, 17.5%, 25.5% and 1.0% respectively; defoliation ratios (number of evergreen individuals / number of deciduous individuals) were 0.96, 1.70, 0.58, 0.15 and 0 respectively. The Pearson correlation of tree height and defoliation was -0.315. There were 155 kinds of codes, in which ten topmost frequencies showed that 80% of them were below 3m height. We can conclude that both tree number and defoliation ratio will decrease following the increase of tree height. A pattern called ‘Layering greening model with upper deciduous and lower evergreen plants’ maybe suitable for the district of hot summer and cold winter.

Methods: Through the platoon lampblack machine on both sides of the additional adjustable cover hood, With the method of experimental detection of inside the kitchen CO and CO2 concentration. Results: In additional adjustable covered after cover CO and CO2 concentration decreased, exhaust air reduced. Conclusion: Shielded enclosures effective hindered the spread of lampblack, the new air volume air is reduced, and the heat gets lower, which saves energy.

Abstract: Intelligent control is essential for tower cranes because the safety and work efficiency of construction. Firstly, an intelligent control system using ARM MCU and its auxiliary equipments, human-machine interface and control strategy were designed for tower cranes to realize monitoring and trouble shooting. Secondly, a fuzzy PID controller was adopted for tower crane. In the end, the experiment was made to test the intelligent control system. The test results show that the intelligent control system can achieve the national standard on tower cranes; also, it can save time, increase work efficiency and provide other auxiliary functions; in addition, the fuzzy PID controller is superior to conventional PID in intelligent control for tower cranes; accordingly, the intelligent control system has a promising application in the tower cranes.

Abstract: Minangkabau architecture is one of the most identical vernacular architectures in Austronesian world. This research aims to compare and analyze the microclimate of two Minangkabau vernacular houses in villages of Balimbing of Bukittinggi, Sumatra, Indonesia. One of them is covered with palm-sheath roof, and the other is covered with zinc roof. After investigation and a series of measuring assessment, we discover that as human residence, the interior environment of the house with the palm-roof is more comfortable than the zinc-roofed house. Due to a more successful prevention and reduction to high temperature and humidity of the inner space, the palm-roof is recognized as the better housing model to be pursued and using natural material as the efficient resource for the local community.

Abstract: The good and comfortable environment is beneficial to the health, and can improve working efficiency, make people imbued with more creativity. This means strengthening the competitiveness, increase economic efficiency. So, creating the good building environment not merely has a meaning on technology, and has social effect and economic meaning. In order to understand the situation of indoor thermal environment of the seaside residential building generally, a field measurement on the condition of summer was made in Xiamen from the last ten days of July to the first ten day of Aug, 2005, 2006 and 2008. Test the thermal environment and investigate the thermal comfort in residential buildings of natural ventilation condition, analyze the main influence factors of indoor thermal environment, and evaluate indoor thermal comfort with effective temperature (ET). The curves of indoor air temperature and relative humidity reflect the character of high temperature and high relative humidity in summer in Xiamen residential buildings. Discuss the methods of building energy saving. Suggest that, for seaside city in hot days, the natural ventilation and interval natural ventilation should be the main fundamental methods of improving the resident building thermal environment.

Abstract: In this paper, the definition of additive consistent intuitionistic fuzzy complementary judgement matrix (ACIFCJM) was given; The addition and subtraction algorithms of intuitionistic fuzzy value representing the relative importance degree in the matrix were given, then the definition of the scale transition matrix of intuitionistic fuzzy complementary judgement matrix (IFCJM) was given; The additive consistency recursive iterative adjustment algorithm about the IFCJM was given, then priority vectors formula of IFCJM was introduced; At last, the steps of intuitionistic fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (IFAHP) were introduced, then the method was applied in actual examples, and its effectiveness was verified.

Abstract: In practice, the quality of the investigation can affect the final outcome of a road maintenance design; therefore, pavement damage investigation is very important for road maintenance design. Considering the feature and requirement of maintenance design procedure, this research developed a new artificial pavement damage investigation equipment (HPDIS)by using certain precise techniques, such as GPS-based positioning technology, high resolution digital camera, range positioning system, and digital display type angle meter. The system can be directly used in pavement assessment and the design system. In addition, data communications can be accomplished by this new equipment as well. Due to these features, it makes road maintenance design more efficient.

Abstract: Rainfall erosivity is an essential factor to reveal the response of water erosion to precipitation changes, and its spatial variation reveals erosion regional difference and water conservation regionalization. In this research, average annual rainfall erosivity in 1951 -2008 on China mainland is calculated through daily precipitation data from 711 meteorological stations. Precisions of 29 spatial interpolation models are quantitative compared including inverse distance weighting (IDW), radial basis function (RBF), kriging, cokriging (CK) and thin plate smoothing spline (TPS). Three variables cubic TPS is confirmed the optimum spatial interpolation model to rainfall erosivity on a large scale.
