Abstract: The effect is studied of duration of mechanochemical impact, as well as modification sequence and grinding on the acidic and catalytic properties of synthesized catalysts based on natural zeolite in the conversion of n-octane.It is shown that the highest catalytic activity in the conversion of n-octane has a modified nickel-and zinc-based catalyst zeolite and structured bentonite clay, subjected to mechanochemical treatment for 12 hours after the promotion.

Abstract: Abstract. In this work the results of research are presented of humic preparations used as natural polymer modifiers for the palladium catalysts. New nanosized catalysts on the basis of palladium - potassium humate are synthesized, extracted from coals of Oy-Karagay and Kunming fields (People's Republic of China). The highest activity is shown on the catalysts of 0,8 % of the Pd- Humic acids (Oy-Karagay) of 1 % / bauxite-094.

Abstract: The paper takes Tianjin subway as an example, and use the Subway Environment Simulation (SES) program to establish subway system with platform screen doors or different characteristics of two systems to carry out the simulate computation in summer, transition season and winter of the two systems; by analyzing the difference between two environment control modes, get the chart of the temperature distribution characteristic. The table result showed that it has more advantages using closed system than PSD system in Tianjin by using the primary invests and saving energy consumption.

Abstract: A series of CuO-ZnO-CeO2-ZrO2/HZSM-5 catalysts were prepared and characterized by XRD, H2-TPR. CO2 hydrogenation to DME was carried out in a fixed bed reactor to test the catalytic performance of Ce-modified CuO-ZnO-ZrO2/HZSM-5 catalyst under the condition of GHSV=1800 h-1, p=3.0 MPa and T=250°C. The results indicate that the added CeO2 improved the performance of the bifunctional catalysts, the CO2 conversion and DME selectivity were obviously improved. CuO-ZnO-CeO2-ZrO2/HZSM-5 catalyst with Ce to Zr molar ratio of 1/1 showed the highest activity for DME synthesis from CO2 hydrogenation.

Abstract: This paper investigates the use of a thermal power plant fly ash as raw materials for preparing zeolite test method. Process is making fly ash and sodium hydroxide in certain proportion mixed, calcined, grinded, stired, aged, washed, dryed. Finaly it develops with ideal adsorption properties of porous zeolite materials. The material in industrial water treatment and air purification field has broad application prospects.

Abstract: Composite soils have been widely used in civil engineering applications, especially in slopes, embankment dam and landfills. This paper aims to investigate effect of fiber inclusion on shear stress of composite soil (i.e. clay composite). A series of laboratory direct shear tests carried out to evaluate paper reinforcement effect on strength behavior of composite clay. Kaolin clay was selected as soil part of the composite and paper was used as reinforcement. The paper reinforcement parameters differed from one test to another, the paper length was changed from 10 mm to 30 mm and paper content were varied from 5% to 15%. Normal stress kept constant at 150 kPa. For each test, stress_ displacement graph derived and the results were compared. The results proved that inclusion of paper reinforcement affected strength behaviour of clay composite so that increasing in paper reinforcement content and length caused increasing in shear stress.

Abstract: A new inorganic polymer coagulant polymerized silicate containing aluminium sulfate and magnesium sulfate(PAMSS)were prepared. The effects of ratio of magnesium to silicon (Mg/Si), pH, dosage of flocculant, temperature of the wastewater on phenol removal rate were investigated. The results shown that the removal of phenol is more than 80 % when the optimum ratio of magnesium to silicon is 1:1 for PAMSS, the amount of PAMSS added is 11 ml/100ml water, pH value of water is 7,the temperature of wastewater is 40 °C.

Abstract: The antimony ruby glass is prepared by soda-lime silica system as matrix composition which coefficient of linear expansion is appropriate for the ordinary glassware.UV-VIS spectrometer is used to measure the transmittance curves of various amount Sb2O3 glasses Relation between amount Sb2O3 and transmittance of antimony glasses are investigated which indicates that the tSuperscript textransmittance of antimony glass becomes lower with Sb2O3 amount increasing. Comparing un-treatment with heat treatment antimony glass, the dominate wavelength moves toward the red wavelength and the pure color increases.

Abstract: This paper analyzed the effects of land use change in the catchment area of Lake Kivu on its water quality. The results of laboratory analysis of water samples from 4 locations testing the concentration of major elements showed that Mn, N, P and K are high during the growing and raining seasons and low during the dry and harvesting seasons. They also indicated that the concentrations of Cr, Al were considerably low in all seasons but vary with the seasons at Nyamasheke and Karongi stations. The variations of other major elements were not depending on the seasonal variations.

Abstract: Response surface methodology(RSM) was applied to optimize the preparation process of La-Ce-Palygorskite catalysts for NO decomposition. The method of three-factors-three-levels central composition experiments were designed. The pH value of the chemical blending, ratio of La/Ce and calcination treatment temperature of the catalysts were chosen as casual factors. With RSM, the effects of these 3 factors on the response value was investigated. It has been found that the most active La-Ce-Palygorskite catalyst for NO decomposition can be prepared when the rare earth content, La:Ce, pH value of the chemical blending and calcination treatment temperature were 2%, LaxCe(1-x)(x=0.55), 6.5 and 409 °C, respectively. The denitration rate of the catalyst could be up to 66.58% under reaction conditions.
