Influence of Admixtures on Performances of EPC Coating

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper studied the influence of CMC, sodium bentonite and white latex addition on the performance of EPC coating under the following conditions: sodium bentonite was used as high-temperature binder of the coating; CMC and white latex were used as low-temperature binder of the coating; right amount of water was added; and viscosity was controlled of 30-35 seconds. The results showed that the coating had good overall performance with 0.2-0.8% CMC addition, 3-9% sodium bentonite addition and 3-7% white latex addition.
