Study on Optimization of Polymer Modification Repair Mortar with Metakaolin

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper deals with the compressive strength and shrinkage of polymer modification repair mortar (PMRM) with Metakaolin (MK) and Metakaolin-based composite material(MS),the microstructure of PMRM was studied by MID and SEM. The results show that the strength and shrinkage of PMRM are improved remarkably with the incorporation of 3% and 5% MK. Moreover, the PMRM with the incorporation of 5% MS exhibits a better mechanical and shrinkage performance, the tests of MID and SEM indicate that the pore structure is optimized by 5% MS.
