Preliminary Perform of PDM Technology in Automotive Design

Abstract:

Taking the design of automotive product as an example , the designing thought of PDE technology was made full use of This article . On the basis of establishing components figure library and data base of the chassis parameter, by the secondary development of VB and AutoCAD 2000 software, and blending the drawing design of automobile product and data management, this is automobile product data management（the abbreviated is APDM）. To some extent，the system has performed the virtual design of automotive chassis. It can design automotive and inquire data fast and efficiently. Thus it reduces the designer’s labor intensity and raise designing efficiency.
