Abstract: The non-tidal water level fluctuation at four locations in Lianyungang coastal area was analyzed by using tide data. Results show that the non-tidal water level fluctuation was associated with the spatial distribution. The combined effects of shoaling and attenuation due to the shape and bottom topography contribute to the spatial distribution of non-tidal water level fluctuation. Two characteristic oscillation periods of about 12 h and 24 h which highly coherent throughout the four stations were revealed. Analysis of the exciting mechanisms indicates that the variability was mainly generated by fluctuation in wind speed.

Abstract: Calculation of mine water inflow and influencing radius is one of studies of hydrogeology conditions of mining area. Hetaoyu Coal Mine is located in discharge region of lower Cretaceous Luohe Formation aquifer in Qingyang City of Gansu Province. The water inflow and influencing radius are computed by the “Large diameter well” formula of artesian water with “virtual large diameter well” method is based on Dupuit formula. The drill hole radius is replaced by Cite Radius and the influencing radius is replaced by Cite Influencing Radius in calculation process. The scope of groundwater cone is confirmed by cite influencing radius.

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to build a three-dimensional groundwater flow model of the affected zone along the Yellow River, and to conduct equilibrium analysis and resource evaluation to the groundwater of the research area according to the simulation results. In the beginning, the groundwater flow numerical simulation model (1999.1-2009.12) is established and verified through the GMS software on the basis of the establishment of hydrogeological conceptual and mathematical models. Results of the simulation model show that the perennial average of the resources of shallow groundwater recharge is 29.32×108m3/a, the average recharge modulus is 22.35×104m3/km2•a and the safe yield of groundwater resource is 27.04×108m3/a.

Abstract: Based on C# language, using MSchart control and Matlab toolbox, a tidal current forecasting visual system for china offshore area was built. The forecasting results were shown by static curves and animation. Through the visual system, the operation process of calculation is simplified. The discrete data are shown by pictures and animation which is more intuitively and lively.

Abstract: The δD-δ18O line features of water bodies are very important properties of isotopic characteristics. The slope of the line is controlled by the environmental condition of the area. The hydrogen and oxygen stable isotopic transport of lake water in Qaidam Basin is mainly effect by temperature and relative humidity. Lake water samples show two groups due to heterogeneous distribution of lake water. Group 1 is depleted samples which indicate originated lake water that did not suffer the evaporation processes. Group 2 is highly enriched in isotopic compositions due to evaporation. The regression line of lake water in Qaidam Basin is δD = 3.13δ18O - 21.61. The slope of theoretical evaporation line has positive relationship with relative humidity and has negative relationship with temperature. The effects analyses of temperature and h on the slop of evaporation line show the residual ratio f of Group 2 lake water samples are between 0.5-0.7. If Group 1 samples represent the initial isotopic composition of lake waters, the above results indicates that the most evaporated lake water (the Group 2) having lost 30%-50% of their initial volume.

Abstract: The representative pollution factors are selected to undergo the single-factor membership grade evaluation and weight normalization treatment, and then fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is employed to analyze the groundwater quality in a particular region in North-China Plain. The weight of each factor is determined as per the measured density value, thus guaranteeing objective and accurate evaluation results, which provide scientific grounds for the water resources planning and treatment. Therefore, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is a scientific means of efficiently and accurately evaluating the groundwater quality.

Abstract: Historical data about withdrawal of regional groundwater serves as a foundation for better evaluating and scientifically managing the groundwater resource. However, due to limitations of management system and workload etc., statistical data shows that groundwater exploitation is much less than what we expect in fact. In this study, we take the plain area of Tianjin as an example, the historical dataset on groundwater withdrawal is estimated reversely based on the coupled numerical model-groundwater flow and land subsidence via Modflow2005. Specifically, pumping rate serving as an input in the model is continuously modified until the numerical head distribution simulates observed value at every county in a specific period. Nonetheless, the pumping rate is also constrained by the value estimated by statistical method and quota method. Finally, the mean annual value of groundwater exploitation during 1998 to 2008 is estimated to be 8.35×108m3/a.

Abstract: In rensent years, the constantly shrinking of Ebinur seriously affects the ecological environment of the lake basion. The main way to improve the environment is to ensure adequate ecological water requirement, while lake evaporation is one of the key factors. The paper calculated the lake evaporation below the elevation of 195 meters based on the surveying data of Alashankou and Jinghe weather stations, which provides a scientific basis for predominating the optimally running water level of Ebinur.

Abstract: Methods for calculation of water environment capacity can be divided into two types in general, one type is ideal water environment capacity method and the other is pollution source generalization method. This paper proposes another way of generalization, uniform generalization method, assuming that distribution of the amount of pollutants discharged is uniform in the lengthways direction. In consideration of the practical demand for administration of water resources protection, a formula for calculation of water environment capacity for different combinations of environment function regions is presented,based on the water quality targets of function regions, with the numerical or analytical methods of 1-D water quality model. The proposed method provides a simple and effective method for water resources management and planning.

Abstract: The data, originated from the RASEX experiment and the Surface Wave Dynamics Experiment. RASEX experiment took place at an offshore wind turbine site in the Baltic Sea in 1994, it is representative of the fetch-limited conditions; SWADE experiment was carried out off the Atlantic coast of the United States in 1990, it is representative of the wind-sea/swell conditions. Both datasets are used to test sea surface roughness schemes by using bulk algorithm. The aim of this study is to better understand the sensitively of the surface momentum fluxes to choice of surface roughness parameterization and the range of applicability of the four schemes (YT96, TY01, O02, and GW06). It was found YT96, TY01 and GW06 schemes generated friction velocity, drag coefficient and wind stress in good agreement with the direct measurements under different wind sea conditions, but O02 scheme overestimate them with the wind speed larger than 8ms-1 for the fetch-limited conditions.
