A Rule-Based Approach to the Simulation of Control Valve Nonlinearities

Abstract:

Accurate modeling of the nonlinearities of control valve is vital for the simulation and design of control system. In the literature, the data-driven modeling approach is most widely used. This paper proposes a discrete-time rule-based model, which is an extension of Choudhury's model. Simulation results show that the model outputs are consistent under different patterns of valve inputs.
