Surface Micro-Structure Effect the Combustion and Mechanical Properties of Triple Base Propellants

Article Preview

Abstract:

In order to obtain surface micro-holes structure of triple-base propellants, using hot water erosion triple base propellant. Control the immerse time interval, forming different surface micro-structure samples, the combustion performance was studied through closed-bomb test and the anti-tensile intensity was measured by material testing machine. Experimental results indicate that, surface micro-structure can form by immersed in hot water, the surface micro-structure decreased combustion time of propellant, on the other hand, decreased the anti-tensile intensity of propellants.
