Abstract: Dry gas seals have widely used in many centrifugal compressors and other rotating machinery. The gas performance of the dry gas seal is generally regarded as an ideal gas when the gas seal is investigated, designed, and operated. However some real gases performance may be quite different from the ideal gas when the gas pressure is high. In this paper, the carbon dioxide (CO2) was taken as an example in some T-groove dry gas seal, and the virial equation of state, which expresses the effect of real gas, was used, and the finite difference method (FDM) was adopted to solve the Reynolds equation of gas lubrication. The effects of real gas on the opening force (Fo) and radial leakage (Q) of the T-groove gas seal had been obtained. The results show that the seal performance (Fo, Q) will be underestimated when the real carbon dioxide is considered as an ideal gas. In calculation conditions, Fo and Q were maximum underestimated 4.16% and 19.25% respectively when Po was 5MPa and ns was variable and the real carbon dioxide was considered as an ideal gas; Fo and Q were maximum underestimated 7.48%, and 29.25% respectively, when ns was 3000r/min and Po was variable and the real carbon dioxide was considered as an ideal gas.

Abstract: This study is to carry out a transient flow field analysis on the condition that the wind turbine is working to generate turbine, the wind turbine operating conditions change over time. Purpose of this study tries to find out the rule from the wind turbine changing over time. In transient analysis, the wind velocity on inlet boundary and rotation speed in the rotor field will change over time, and an analytical process is provided that can be used for future reference. At present, the wind turbine model is designed on the concept of down-wind horizontal axis type. The computer engineering software GH Bladed is used to obtain the relationship between the rotor velocity and the wind turbine. Then the ANSYS engineering software is used to calculate the stress and strain distribution in the blades over time. From the analytical result, the relationship between the stress distribution in the blades and the rotor velocity is got to be used as a reference for future wind turbine structural optimization.

Abstract: Experiments on concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) model arches with new-type dumbbell-shaped section have been carried out, concentrated loading at crown and L/4 section respectively. Applied with large general program ANSYS, a finite element calculation model was set up for the model arch, by means of this model the main parameters including arch axis coefficient, ratio of rise to span, slenderness ratio, and steel ratio are analyzed. Based on the discussion of influence of parameter variation on nonlinear characteristics and ultimate load-carrying capacity of model arch, the theoretical basis is established for the development of this structure and the conclusion can be taken as reference in practice use and further research work.

Abstract: Simulation of the absorption column was studied. A new mathematic model was developed and tested against the actual operation data. From this, the accuracy of the model was proved. The pressure, temperature and gas composition on absorption effect was discussed. And from the point of the practical production, more optimized operating conditions of the nitric acid absorption tower were showed. It makes the dilute acid concentration increase by 3 percent and the exhaust emission of NOx decrease by 45ppm.

Abstract: In order to guarantee organization and performance requirements of H-beam, a certain compression ratio is needed from stock to products. This paper choose blank special-shaped billet, using DEFORM finite element software, simulated and analyzed change rule of H-beam equivalent strain when beam blank is cogging. Simulation results show that:The compression ratio is 10.78 from stock to products. The stock dimension meet requirements of from A hole to CCS rolling after BD cogging. The equivalent strain rule during the entire process of beam blank cogging is mainly focus waist and haunch joint.

Abstract: PEDOT/PSS has an excellent performance in the electronic components and ink jet print has been used widely printed electronics. But the film quality of PEDOT/PSS produced by ink jet printers can be limited by many parameters and is very difficult to evaluate accurately. In this paper, we propose uniformity and precision as the key indicators and combine image processing method in to the evaluation methods. First we analyses the characteristic and limitation of the ink jet printer, and use image processing methods to evaluate the experimental data. From the result it demonstrates this new method is feasible, and can get more detail. And it can apply in the future dedicated ink jet printer study and quality detection

Abstract: In this work we reported a design and principle of a three-axis digital output gyroscope-based intelligent ultrasonic diagnostic navigation system. The proposed system provided a real-time intelligent navigation for ultrasound scanning and clinical puncture by transmitting and recording the positional relationship of ultrasound probe and corresponding body structure in real time through network. This system could provide technical support for remote ultrasonic medical consultation.

Abstract: In this paper, a delay-dependent H_infinity performance criterion which possess decoupling structure is derived for a class of time-delay systems. It is then extended to H_infinity state-feedback synthesis for time-delay systems with polytopic uncertainty. All the conditions are given in terms of the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Numerical examples illustrate the effectiveness of our methods.

Abstract: Red Palm Weevil is a deadly pest on palms. It destroys thousands of palms every year by feeding on the soft tissues of palm trunk which are less than 15-20 years. The productivity decreases resulting in huge loss. There is no accurate or exact solution to destroy this infestation in the early stages. Hence there arises a technology to identify the presence of RPW along with its larva by sensing its sound. To achieve this task, we need to devise an acoustic sensor so that defected trees can be easily picked up and proper measures can be engaged to destroy the pest. This technology depends on the acoustic emissions from pests. Clustering is also done on input data recorded which gives similarity measures between two signals. The Euclidean distance for the least significant output with the database will match and help in identifying the insect species.
