Abstract: To overcome the limits in current strength training equipment for canoeing in rowing tanks, we design a new system which can make the hull rock back and forth or side to side. As a result the canoeist needs to adjust his/her center of gravity constantly to make effective strokes. Thus the system can simulate the real situation of this sport in waters. Meanwhile, through applying adjustable gravity load resistance source, the weakness of land strength training can be overcome and training in both strength and dexterity can be conducted simultaneously, so as to improve the intensity and efficiency of canoe strength training. Furthermore, a testing and assessment subsystem is developed. This system is simple and easy to use, allowing not only monitoring of exercise, but also monitoring and assesment of athletes’ intensity and efficiency of strength training.

Abstract: Friction is generated between a press tool and a material during the inflow of material in an automotive press drawing process. Currently, there is deficienttechnical information on such tool-material friction properties. This study is accordingly aimed to understand friction characteristics by investigating them from drawing variables in the press deep-drawing process for steel plates of 590MPa grade and above that are recently being applied for the reduction of weight and improvement of safety of automobiles. The drawing variables in this study are blank holder holding pressure, drawing velocity, and tool surface treatment, which are tested and applied for stamping analysis. The results showed that for holding pressure and drawing velocity, friction coefficient decreases as holding pressure and drawing velocity increases. In case of friction properties according to tool surface treatment, friction coefficient is lower in surface-treated tools compared to non-surface-treated tools, which verifies the need for surface treatment when fabricating press tools. In addition, this study ascertained the need to have a stamping analysis that considered actual drawing variables when analyzingforming by verifying the results of drawing simulations after applying the experimented friction coefficient in the stamping analysis.

Abstract: To explore the new method for the design of humanoid robot driving system. This driving system is to use the force-line model to parallel drive the limbs of the robot. A humanoid robot driving system with the force-line model has been constructed. New software for muscle force estimation has been developed. The solution of the parameters which are the input of the software has been statement. Finally, the input parameters have been obtained by experiment and calculation. The humanoid robot can be parallel driven to imitate human walking by the force which along the force-line. It will provide wide insight in developing new type humanoid robot for complex motion.

Abstract: The new generation of global navigation satellite systems will apply binary offset carrier (BOC) modulation technique, which can efficiently split the spectrums of navigation signals using the same frequency so as to reduce the interferences among different systems. But the autocorrelation function of BOC modulated signals has the drawback of multimodality, so it’s very hard to synchronize to the right peak when acquiring and tracking signals, especially under low SNR circumstances, which can decrease the positioning accuracy and even lead to wrong positioning results. Meanwhile, if there are multipath signals mixed in the receiving signal, the autocorrelation curve will be greatly distorted, and the number of side-peak will also increase exaggeratedly, which could deteriorate the situation mentioned above. A multipath cancellation method based on TK (Teager-Kaiser) operator is proposed in this article, which could not only detect the right peak in the autocorrelation curve, but also eliminate all the other multipath signals. As a result, this method could avoid the false lock of code phase and guarantee the high precision fix results.

Abstract: Some OFDM signal systems use PN (Pseudo-noise) sequence in time domain to synchronize. During the acquisition progress, the ground noise power has to be calculated, and the determination of the detection threshold is important. This paper introduced a simplified detection method for PN sequence, and analyzed the threshold to optimize the performance.

Abstract: Similar to many other countries in the world, the elderly population in Taiwan is now growing rapidly. Some older adults are found to have difficulty controlling their emotion, which may later develop into psychological diseases such as anxiety disorder. Therefore, emotional control is an important issue for elderly citizens. This study proposed a wearable biofeedback emotional control device, FeelVest, which integrates electrocardiography acquisition with heart rate variability analyzing techniques to detect user’s emotion. When a user is nervous and unstable, FeelVest would analyze the emotional state of the user. If the user’s emotional condition is judged as abnormal, the control module would remind the user to relax through vocal notification, or broadcast relaxation melodies to ease the user’s nerve. With this vest, older adults are able to monitor and regulate their own emotion and have a healthier life style.

Abstract: This paper focus on the trajectories planning for Delta robot, which is used to dynamic tracking, pick and place workpiece on packing line. According to the practical action requirements, defined the desired path for end actuator in Cartesian space. The control trajectories are divided into several line segments. For each section, the control points are calculated with the modified sine computing terminal trajectory. To tracking the workpiece on conveyor, a mathematical models is developed to describe the target position and limitation of robot hardware. Newton's method is adopt to solve the model. Through calculating the right angle coordinate system of key points with inverse kinematic in joint space, generating a feasible motion control track. A demo trajectory is generated to verify the feasibility of the scheme.

Abstract: In order to meet the demands of practical, convenient and quick charge requirements, a mathematical model of a certain type of vehicle starting lead-acid battery is established. Using the method of circuit analysis, the model parameters are identified by the known test data. In addition, battery charge model is simulated in each charge stage using the intelligent three-stage charge method, simulation waveform and test waveform fit very well, absolute errors between them reach to 10-6. Simulation results show that the mathematical model and its analysis method is proper for the charge characteristics of vehicle starting lead-acid battery. This has a good guidance to design intelligent charger and extend the battery life.

Abstract: Due to the grain storage located in remote areas, the existing Monitor System for Grain is just monitored locally, and it is difficult to achieve remote monitoring. This article describes a wireless grain information remote monitoring system. The system base on wireless sensor networks, and use 1-wire bus temperature sensor DSl8820 to sample the grain temperature real-time. Finally, through the GPRS network, implement the remote monitoring system. This system is suitable for all kinds of grain storage, and has a stable and reliable, strong scalability advantages.
