Abstract: The sealing equipment of the SF6 GIS including the rubber O-ring and bolts were numerically simulated. Effects of bolts number, the tension moment of bolts, and gas pressure on contact stress and peak stress of O-ring were mainly studied. Simulated results showed that the bolts number and tension moment of bolts has a great effect on the sealing performance of mechanical seal and the maximum stress of O-ring. The higher contact pressure could be achieved under the condition of a larger bolts tension moment and bolts number and smaller gas pressure, but it also results in a reduce of life of O-ring.

Abstract: With The high development of science and technology, computer hardware and auxiliary technologies have a major influence on 3D animation; As for hand-painted interactively assistive technology, which also should be applied to 3D animation combined with better elements of science and technology. Hand sketching gathers the advantage of pen-paper and computer so that the model rendering will be more quickly, at the same time, to get the efficiency of editing more grid details and provide a basis for creating the internal structure and local details of the complex model; to improve the model quality by algorithm and surface structure for drawing and editing. Meanwhile, hand-painted model rendering and editing in the animation design development trend is worthy of attention as well.

Abstract: This paper describes the new method of the finite element analysis based on the product cycle design. Based on the simulation software, combined with the Mohr strength theory, analyze the cabinet in several classic conditions of stress, then have the final test on the cabinet in the consolidated operating conditions.

Abstract: At present, CAD/CAM technology is applied in many areas, and machinery manufacturing was one of these areas in which CAD/CAM technology is the first and most widely used. With the development of CAD/CAM technology, CAD/CAM technology has become a key technology to improve the design and manufacturing standards, and enhance the competitiveness of the industry. In this paper, the concept of point-based geometric models used in CAD/CAM is proposed, the definition of the point-based geometric model and its CAD/CAM application process are suggested, and the geometric characteristics of the point-based geometric model and the CAD/CAM system development methodology are analysed.

Abstract: The braking performance of open-air crane is essential to safety. Taking 40t Portal crane as the study object, this paper first analyzed and calculated the braking torque of traveling mechanism according to the design rules for cranes. Then the portal crane traveling mechanism model was established by the use of simulation software ADAMS, the braking process of crane of constant wind load was studied on typical operation conditions, and its braking performances were comparative analyzed. Finally, it can be concluded that it will substantially increase the crane braking time and braking distance after braking torque is adjusted small and cause hidden troubles of accident. The analytical method and conclusions of this paper can provide a theoretical basis to crane safety management.

Abstract: In smoothing of Class A surfaces for auto-body, the whole surface is firstly divided into many base surfaces, and then blended them into a whole surface. The base surface is often not big enough to meet the blending requirements, so it should be extended. The paper discussed the extension of Bézier curves and surfaces, and analyzed the relationships between extended curves/surfaces and vertexes. The result shows that the arrangement of control vertexes is closely related to the quality of extended curves/surfaces.

Abstract: In the injection molding process, CAE technology is used for detailed analysis of the designing of injection mold gate location and number, this method can optimize the pouring system, and change the traditional method which improves the mold structure by mold testing, so the cost of mold design and manufacturing can be reduced.

Abstract: This paper presents a new algorithm FTGP which could deal with temporal information in Flexible planning framework. The new algorithm could solve the action whose duration is no longer an abstract time unit, but a positive real number. We defined new mutex relationships according to the characters of temporal planning and Flexible planning. FTGP adopted a compact graph expansion, which could save time and space of expansion.

Abstract: Data exchange between 3-D CAD systems has a very important research value both in theory and in application. This paper presents a general outline of a Universal Feature Definition (UFD) frame, which provides universal support for todays 3-D CAD systems. Through the medium of UFD feature, this frame can realize the conversion of 3-D CAD models from source system to target system according to API mapping. This CAD model conversion method may overcome the disadvantage of traditional geometric method that the target model is not editable. This frame also provides the conversion interface of user defined features, which is convenient for the user to customize the desired conversion process. The frame has been implemented between Catia and UG with successful results.
