Performance Evaluation and Comparison of Spraying Modified Asphalt in Rigid-Flexible Composite Pavement Interlayer

Article Preview

Abstract:

Focus on destruction features of the rigid-flexible composite pavement interlayer, Crumb rubber modified asphalt, SBS and crumb rubber composite modified asphalt, SBS modified asphalt were prepared. High temperature stability performance, medium-temperature fatigue performance and adhesive property of three knds of interlaminar material were evaluated and compared. Test results show that high temperature PG grade of SBS and crumb rubber composite modified asphalt is PG82, which showed better high temperature stability. Moreover, crumb rubber modified asphalt has more soft at normal temperature which benefited to medium-temperature fatigue performance. Besides, SBS and crumb rubber composite modified asphalt possesses better interlaminar adhesive property with 60°C viscosity is 2430Pas. So SBS and crumb rubber composite modified asphalt is recommend as spraying asphalt material in rigid-flexible composite pavement interlayer, the results can provide certain reference.
