Abstract: Utilizing iterative method to solve the large sparse linear systems is the key to many practical mathematical and physical problems. Recently, Intel released Xeon Phi, a many-core processor of Intel’s Many Integrated Core (MIC) architecture, comprises 60 cores and supports 512-bit SIMD operation. In this work, we aim at accelerating an iterative algorithm for large spare linear system, named PQMRCGSTAB, by using both Xeon Phi’s 8-way vector operation and dense threads. Then, we propose three optimizations to improve the performance: data prefetching to hide the data latency, vector register reusing, and SIMD-friendly reduction. Our experimental evaluation on Xeon Phi delivers a speedup of close to a factor 6 compared to the Intel Xeon E5-2670 octal-core CPU running the same problem.

Abstract: Sampling theorem has a key role in signal processing and image processing. In this paper, the scaling functions with cardinal property are discussed in the dimensions and their symmetry property is classified. Therefore, sampling theorems of wavelet subspaces are obtained. Then, the cardinal orthogonal scaling function with cardinal property is characterized in the dimensions and an equation between the highpass filter coefficients and wavelet samples are got. The existing results are generalized to the case of M band.

Abstract: Three-dimensional modelling technology was applied in this paper to construct models of complex geological body based on borehole data. The 3-D model of the rock, the orebody, the stratum, the fault and so on can be used to display the spatial form of these geological bodies and their spatial relationship, and to predict the trend of the deep ones. It brings geological working a new and multi-dimensional way compared with the traditional methods of confining 3-D information into2-D plane that losing the spatial information. This paper takes a mine area of China as an example to introduce the methods and workflow of the model making and the results of modelling are expressed based on the computer visualization technology.

Abstract: In this paper, we investigate the parameters estimation in nonlinear regression models. Firstly, a Gauss-Newton iteration method is given to estimate the parameters in the nonlinear regression models. Moreover, a numerical simulation study and real data analysis are given to illustrate the validity of proposed diagnostic measures.

Abstract: A fast feature extraction algorithm is presented in this paper based on the color and point feature, With the aim of required feature points, the location of the object includes object region detection and feature point location. The area of object detection is used to look for the centre of gravity point from the scaling image. The feature point location is based on the object region detection, cuts a picture from the image, and extracts speeded up robust feature (SURF) points of the target within the cut picture. The target position is calculated according to the value of the feature points, it provides a basis for object tracking. The experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract: It is difficult to determine the Mohr-Coulomb failure envelope visually, and it is strongly influenced by abnormal test data evaluating the shear strength parameters of soil via trend line and unable to adjust the scope of permissible error. So it is recommended to evaluate shear strength parameters of soil using Solver of Excel for direct shear tests and triaxial tests and you can control the allowable deviation. The mathematics model of nonlinear programming was established to evaluate shear strength parameters of soil from the results of direct shear test and triaxial shear test. The related Excel worksheet was created and the optimum results of the objective function were obtained by setting the Solver parameters dialog box accurately. The method is simple, inexpensive and rapid.

Abstract: This paper develops a high performance guidance controller for automated guided vehicle (AGV) with nonholonomic constraint. In this controller, the path following method in the Serret-Frenet frame is used for driving the AGV onto a predefined path at a constant forward speed. Moreover, a first order dynamic sliding mode controller is proposed, not only to overcome the impact of unknown model uncertainties and external disturbances of the system, but also to weaken the chattering in the standard sliding mode control. The global asymptotic stability and robustness of the system is proven by the Lyapunov theory and LaSalles invariance principle. Simulation results show the validity of the proposed guidance control scheme.

Abstract: The weighted Semi-supervised FCM Algorithm which is based on HPR multiplier (SSFCM-HPR) [1] is used for neuron classification in this paper. 231 groups of neuron data from NeuronMorpho.Org [2] are used in experiments as training samples and testing samples. The classification accuracy of testing samples can reach 93.90% in the experiment. The classification accuracies of testing samples are above 90% if the percentage of training samples is higher than 20%.

Abstract: How to select a target network meeting the needs of Quality of Service (QoS) guarantee in heterogeneous network environment has become a research hotspot. In this paper, a novel differentiate weight algorithm on heterogeneous network selection is proposed. As regard of the different needs of QoS for each class of traffic in heterogeneous network, the QoS parameter weight for each class of traffic is calculated by G1 method, and then the target network is selected by technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS). At last, simulation results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper is better than average weight algorithm on selecting target network reasonably and balancing network loads.

Abstract: Several axisymmetric pile-soil finite element models were established to analyze load-placement curves. It was proved that the bearing capacity of the pile with plates is more than the equivalent diameter pile, and the subjacent plate has a remarkable potentiality, so the plate of pile should be at deep depth; the span of adjacent plates should not be less than the critical one, or the upper plate and the subjacent one will influence each other and reduce the uplift bearing capacity; the plate shape and height affect less than diameter to pile bearing capacity. The result is helpful to the design and construction of similar piles.
