Abstract: As choosing a combined SO2/NOx removal technology, there are many factors, which all have fuzzy character. Therefore the comprehensive fuzzy evaluation is the best method. In this paper a two-stage fuzzy mathematics model is presented to evaluate the comprehensive performance of combined SO2/NOX removal technology by determining factor set, evaluation set, evaluation matrix and weighting set. This evaluation model takes all factors into account while emphasizing key points by choosing the two arithmetic operators max-product and add-product. Eight kinds of important combined SO2/NOX removal technology, including activated carbon, CuO, NOXSO, SNAP, WSA-SNOX, SNRB, Parsons flue gas process and electron-beam method, are evaluated and the evaluated result is presented. In the situation as the paper assumed, WSA-SNOX technology is the best.

Abstract: This paper studied the green infrastructure and ecological technology application based on lakes overall protection, in the case of Wolong Lake area in Shenyang, Liaoning Province of China. Wolong Lake is located in boundary of Liaoning, Jilin and Inner Mongolia Province, and closed to Horqin sandy land. It is the second largest fresh water lake in northeast China, which is important node for eastern Asia bird migration and for migratory bird propagation in summer. It is the important ecological security strategy node in Liaoning Province and even in Northeast China for the ecological security effect of sand fixation, freshwater supply, birds conservation, etc. It has some practical significance for the study of lake and estuary landscape ecological planning in small town of Northeast China, especially for the the green infrastructure planning.

Abstract: By referring to Tao Te Ching and The Analects of Confucius, this paper argues that humanity is a destination that environmental protection rests on. Fundamentally, harmony and environmental protection have close relationship with each other. Environmental protection is available for the sake of harmony while harmony guarantees the effects of environmental protection. Harmony plays unique roles in environmental protection too. Specifically, harmony acts a monitor to initiate environmental protection, serves as a lever to practice environmental protection, and functions as a mirror to observe environmental protection. Regarding the suggestions of fulfilling harmony in environmental protection, the paper claims that individuals should fill themselves with harmonious consciousness, society should provide peaceful and harmonious atmosphere, and national legislatures should make corresponding laws. In brief, harmony is significant in environmental protection.

Abstract: Two desulfurizing strains S1 and S2 were isolated from sea water from Crude Oil Terminal at Tianjin Port. The ability of the two strains to convert dibenzothiophene (DBT) to 2-dihydroxybiphenyl (HBP) was tested by Gibbs assay, which indicated that 2-HBP existed in the metabolite. The strains S1 and S2 were identified by both 16S rDNA sequence analysis and MALDI BioTyper system as Agrobacterium tumefaciens and Acinetobacter radioresistens respectively, which could degrade 22.3% and 22.4% of DBT in 46 hours respectively.

Abstract: Research was conducted to illustrate relevant questions about H2S removal from yellow phosphorus off-gas through catalytic-oxidizing method. Following results have been found out. Firstly, Molecule sieve ZMS-5A, activated carbon ZP-1, ZP-2, ZP-3 and ZP-4 were used as carrier to identify their performances on H2S removal, among which ZP-4 was the optimum one. Secondly, among 3 different impregnants tested in experiments, Na2CO3 was the ideal one to be used as active ingredients of catalyst. And 7% was the suitable concentration of Na2CO3 according to experiments. Finally, catalyst made of carrier ZP-4 impregnated with 7% Na2CO3 was assessed comprehensively to investigate its performance on impurity removal of PH3, H2S, SO2, COS, and CS2. After purification total impurity content in yellow phosphorus off-gas was less than 10g/Nm3, which means purified gas can be used as material as mono-carbon chemical industry.

Abstract: It is a very important problem that economic and environmental coordinated development in PLEEZ. This paper found economic and environmental systems, a quantitative method was proposed which systemic coordinated evaluation based on the principal component analysis and system index of sustainable development for PLEEZ, the conclusions provide a useful reference to economic development and environmental protection coordination of PLEEZ.

Abstract: Principles of restoration ecology include the theory of restrictive factors, structure theory of ecosystem ecological fitness theory, niche theory, community succession theory, biodiversity theory and patch-corridor-matrix theory, etc. These theories for urban ecosystem characteristics, reflecting and improving the urban ecological environment with the original content, having great insight in the amount, shape and guidelines to build urban landscape system, its not only becoming the urban landscape system planning and important theoretical foundation of the building, but also providing a new way of thinking for the construction of urban landscape system.

Abstract: Environmental protection programs exert strong effects on vegetation and plant conservation; however, few researchers have dealt with the impacts of environmental protection programs on wildlife recovery. We compared the spatial changes in avian species distributions caused by these environmental restoration programs for 63 national key protected bird species by overlaying GIS layers to examine the effects of environmental protection on bird diversity since 2000 in Beijing, China. Generally, these species congregated in areas away from human disturbance and around wetlands, city parks, and woodlands. Class One protected birds appeared to be expanding their ranges although they were sparsely distributed. Two Class One species appeared new to the area after 2000. Several Class Two protected species were also enlarging their ranges and one Class Two species appeared new to the area. The results reveal that the ranges of bird species as well as species diversity of the national key protected birds are increasing as wetlands recover and vegetation conditions improve in the vicinity of Beijing.
