Abstract: In 3D image processing, such as medical volume data and industrial CT volume data analysis, speckle noise suppressing significantly affects their accuracy. This paper utilizes a group of volume morphology arithmetic operators, mainly including volume open and volume close, by extending area morphology into 3-D space. Using these operators, the light and dark objects of small size could be removed directly from the 3-D space of the target objects, while the connectivity of the main 3-D target objects in the volume data is still preserved. To improve the volume morphology operations efficiency, we decompose volume data in bitplanes instead of in gray scale space to reduce the binary volumes. To verify the effect of the improved volume morphology operators, they are applied to suppress speckle noises in 3-D images of coral and rat skull and compared with original volume morphology operations. Experimental results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper can significantly reduce computing time, while maintaining comparable results to original operations results.

Abstract: This paper describes the design and implementation of a solar powered automated greenhouse. The objectives are to automatically control the environment, irrigation, and fertilizer to plants in the greenhouse. Another aspect is that its operation is suitable for anyone without knowledge in greenhouses, computers, electronics, etc. Specific objectives are: Control the gain of the low temperature by means of a sensor and actuators that extract fans as hot air and introduce fresh air, and a lamp to increase the temperature if necessary. Control the relative humidity by means of a sensor and valves that open to introduce water and fertilize if necessary. Control the charge and discharge of the battery to avoid prejudicing its life. Develop a modular, user-friendly and simple to operate. Battery is charged by solar cells. This greenhouse can be installed in remote towns where electricity is not available.

Abstract: The paper focuses on development and application of a software engineering system BPsim.SD, part of decision support suite BPsim.DSS, which greatly simplifies analysts work and their interaction with software developers working on different parts of complex projects. Paper gives examples of the system deployment in production environments, both for model validation (which was successful) and for software design from scratch, which resulted in benefits from decreased costs and avoided data losses.

Abstract: With the compact support of radial point interpolation shape functions (RPIM), the stiffness matrix of system equation can be sparse, so its very suitable for meshless methods. This interpolation method have the Kronecker delta function property, so the essential boundary conditions can be enforced directly and accurately without any additional treatment. In this paper, the radial point interpolation shape function is used, calculate the shape function in different node distribution cases, analyse the compact support and Kronecker delta function, use penalty method to apply the essential boundary conditions. In this paper, the RPIM is applied to solving the deformation in one and two dimensional solids by different loads, the results demonstrated that the meshfree RPIM can effectively solve material mechanics problems.

Abstract: A one-dimensional fluid and Monte Carlo model is developed to study plasma sheath in dual ratio frequency plasma etching. Electrons and two positive ions are considerated. The influence of low frequency, ions mass diversity on IEDs and temperature uniformity of wafer is discussed. The results show that the IEDs are greatly modulated by the low frequency and ion mass, and the maximum and minimum ions energy can be predicted by using damped potential. The two ions with different ion mass affect each other little in IEDs but the total ion flux. The lower ion flux has higher averaged ion energy and the higher ion flux has lower averaged ion energy when keeping the total power fixed. It results in a similar temperature uniformity of wafer.

Abstract: The relationship between spot welding process parameters and nugget diameter was selected and synthesized by partial least squares. The partial least squares regression model of spot welding quality was established. And the nugget diameter was predicted based on the model mentioned above. The results show that this model can be used to predict the spot welding quality.

Abstract: The cold store has developed rapidly since 1990s in China. The unreasonable air flow distribution in cold stores hasn't been solved effectually because of lacking of experimental methods. The uniform air flied can improve the effect of store and save the refrigeration cost in the store. In this article, the air flow distribution was simulated with different intervals between products in a huge commercial cold store based on the previous simulation and experimental experience. The results showed that the interval of 10cm between products at vertical direction was better than that of 15cm for storage.

Abstract: Genetic Algorithms and Support Vector Machines are introduced first in this paper. A mathematic model for predicting the solidifying point of light cycle oil of catalytic cracking unit is developed on the basis of the practical data. Results of on-line calculation show that the deviation between the predicted value and is fit to width. This model by way of the soft meter is used to optimize real time unit operation.

Abstract: The free curve as bus bar has increasing number of application in the field of modern machining .While the Keller was not perfect which was found in more and more production practice, in particular doesnt draw and machining of freeform curves. In this paper apply stretching step method to get key nodes, then make use of the double-arc method to approach the free curve, using Visual Basic to preparation of the supporting software, to generate DXF file that can be recognized by Keller, and then achieve the purpose that increasing the ability of free surface processing.
