Abstract: On basis of ventilator dimensionless performance curve and specific speed, a ventilator selection software is studied on purpose of improving the efficiency of ventilator selection. Utilizing programming technology, a database is built which consists of ventilator type, performance parameter, outline dimensions, etc. Graphical interface is programmed using C# language and performance curve is generated and analyzed by the block of MATLAB. Mixed programming method is used to integrate the above two different programming tools, which shortens software development cycle. Analysis result shows that the software developed by the authors meets application requirements and the selected ventilator type is qualified to be adopted.

Abstract: This paper presents a Model-Based approach to develop UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) autopilot software. It employs Simulink to design the flight controller, Stateflow to implement control logic and Matlab coder to automatically generate embedded C code from the model developed. Software in the loop (SIL) and hardware in the loop (HIL) simulations are performed in the laboratory to validate the software developed. Flight trial cost and risks are minimized and the design cycles are greatly shortened. The feasibility and the effectiveness of the approach are verified through results from lab simulations and field trials.

Abstract: The paper proposes a method for semantic message matching in automatic service composition. It develops a framework in which the exported message description and behavior description of a service, and represents the behavior of a service with a finite state machine. Since the service interface definition can be represented by ontology concepts, the internal representation language enables us to define some issues required by service composition formally, qualitative and quantitative constraints plus reasoning on concepts, and the service behavior can be represented using linear logic formulas, so the inference rules of linear logic can check the match-ability and satisfy-ability of service message.

Abstract: Android is one of the most popular smart phone and tablet platforms; Zigbee is the standard for home automation and will play an important role on future WPAN. Enabling the Zigbee communication on Android can exploit the rich network and nice display power of the Android phone in Zigbee applications. In this paper we present our work on integrating CC2530 into an Android smart phone. Based on JNI library, the software is developed to enable Android system can control the CC2530 module insides. The firmware in CC2530 is also discussed. The test is carried on with the configuration that an Android smart phone communicates with a standalone CC2530 node via Zigbee radio. The test verified the design feasibility.

Abstract: This article studies the scheduling problem of a set of tasks with time or data constraints on a number of identical processors with full connections. We present an algorithm, in which a set of static schedule lists can be obtained, each for a processor, such that each task starts executing after its release time and completes its computation before its deadline, and all the precedence relations between tasks resulting from data dependency are satisfied. The data dependency relations between tasks are represented by Synchronous Dataflow Graphs (SDF) as they can indicate tasks concurrency and enable effective scheduling on multiprocessor platforms. The SDF, however, does not support the time constraints of tasks directly, thus an adaption is applied to conform to the time limits. With this adaption, the periodic tasks of implicit-deadline or constrained-deadline can be scheduled on multiprocessor platform effectively.

Abstract: CQI(Channel Quality Indicator) is an essential indicator for AMC(Adaptive Modulation and Coding) technique in LTE. Due to the long delay of GEO satellite channel, CQI prediction is necessary to ensure effective AMC in LTE-compatible GEO mobile satellite communications system. The complete procedure and problem encountered when doing AMC in satellite system are introduced and the difficulties of prediction are analyzed. In order to obtain meaningful and feasible CQI prediction results, a complete prediction scheme is proposed. By using approximate CQI data which is smoothed and with only shadow fading influence, various prediction models are compared. Taking both computation complexity and prediction performance into account, two models, ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) and Kalman filter are chosen to be applied in this scheme. Simulation results show that the prediction performance is very well with the proposed method, which can surely guarantee AMC performance.

Abstract: Particle filter is introduced. Since the particle filter would bring hard computation, a new Kalman/Particle mixed filter used on SINS/GPS integrated navigation system was proposed. The new method divides the system into two sub-models, one is linear, the other one is nonlinear, and then implement Kalman filter and particle filter separately. The simulation results show that their performance is almost equal, but the computation complexity of the Kalman/particle filter is much lower than traditional particle filter.

Abstract: Hot-potato routing is commonly used to break tie among multiple equally-good exit points associating with inter-domain BGP routes. However, hot-potato routing only takes the network control plane into consideration, where it provides the routers the possibility of enabling early exit of traffic using barely protocol-related information of IGP distance. In this paper, we argue that egress selection of inter-domain routing should pay more attention to traffic forwarding, because the large traffic migration caused by egress change, although not quite often, can degrade the network performance or even make the network crash. We propose Egress Selection based on Traffic Migration Prediction (ES-TMP). We use traffic demand to predict the traffic migration, which is used as important criteria for egress selection. If the volume of traffic migration is large, ES-TMP keeps the egress unchanged. Otherwise, the small traffic migration enables the routers use the closest egress without apparent influence on network performance. ES-TMP can either be implemented with standard BGP protocol or by dedicated servers to perform global routing optimization.

Abstract: Topical search engine is an extension of general-purpose search engines, which has become an important research subject in Web information retrieval recently. Focusing on the development of Web 2.0 applications, a result ranking approach is proposed on the basis of LDA model to rank the search results from Web forums. Compared with traditional methods, this approach takes up less storage space, and can more quickly and accurately respond to user inquiries. This work has important significance for the research of improving the performance of retrieval results of web forums.
