The Geneva Mechanism Motion Simulation and Research to Improve the Design Method

Article Preview

Abstract:

The Geneva mechanism has been widely used in various kinds of machinery. This thesis is about the geneva mechanism of the automatically rotate workbench, using the SolidWorks 3D modeling software to establish a model of the geneva mechanisms parametric design. Afterwards, to motion simulate the geneva mechanism by the Motion, then output the those parameters. In the end, its angular velocity and the angular acceleration, as well as the motion of the interval time will be calculated with the driving plate twirling in a constant speed. The result provides a theoretical foundation for the structural design and the engineering application of the design of this institution. It also present a method for improving the design.
