A Study into the Influence of Material Characteristics on Book Binding Design

Abstract:

The paper studies the application of different material sense qualities in book binding design through case study. It further proposes that binding material functions as a powerful language in book binding design, and the variety of binding materials produces a richer variety of book binding design such as diversified forms, contents and binding technologies, thus putting higher standards on modern book binding design.
