Synthesis of Cerium-Doped Todorokite by Refluxing Process at Atmospheric Pressure

Article Preview

Abstract:

Cerium-doped todorokite was synthesized by refluxing process at atmospheric pressure, and the reaction conditions were investigated. The yielded products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). By according to the results, the stirring operation cannot be stopped during the preparation of birnessite, and the potential destruction to channel structure occurrs at high temperature. The form of todorokite is favorable under alkaline condition, but not affected by recycling time. The crystalline purity decreases with the rising doped cerium in the todorokite.
