Abstract: Traffic simulation technology is used to simulate traffic situation, and provide data base for selection and comparison of different proposals, whose most important problem to be solved is that simulation data can match with the actual situation. To ensure the realistic of the simulation data, we use the method which is the organic combination between GA and SPSA to calibrate the simulation model. At last, it seems that the technology is applicable from the result.

Abstract: Queuing in the bus station often causes traffic jam which will influence the run of the system owing to the fact of the special of the BRT system. It was after analyzed the fact of the BRT system, created the model about the probability of the vehicle reaching the station without queuing and other service index by use of the queuing theory in order to calculate the number of BRT parking space. The calculating result which is based on the Shangshe bus station of Guangzhou BRT system show that the model is reasonable and effective.

Abstract: To utilize time-space resource of intersections efficiently, signal timing based on efficiency optimization was studied. The number of vehicles and speed were selected as two parameters constructing efficiency model for four-phase intersections, the relation model between these two parameters was developed basing on field data. The volume corresponding to optimal efficiency through derivation and signal timing on the basis of this volume were obtained by applying Synchro software. Conclusion through an actual case indicates that this method can achieve minimum delay on the premise of efficiency optimization and make the performance of signalized intersection better.

Abstract: This study attempted to develop a control strategy in order to minimize the traffic delay caused by the traffic incident. The proposed strategy controls traffic in terms of providing a combination of different types of incident information. We used the cell transmission model as the underlying traffic flow model to take into accounts the traffic dynamic and use the simulated annealing algorithm to seek the optimal combination of the incident information. The numerical examples confirmed that providing incident information through the proposed control strategy can significantly reduce the traffic delay.

Abstract: Based on dissecting green transportation concept and its essence, this paper puts forward a new understanding about the concept. Then it expounds some technical approaches to build a green transportation system from the following three aspects, spacial structure of land use, road network planning and transport development mode. At last, taking Eco New Area of a certain city as an example, this paper applies the concept and technical approaches to the green transportation planning of New Area. Further analyzing the planning strategies and implementation schemes of road network, public transit and non-motorized travel in Eco New Area, the green transportation concept is put into practice on the planning level.

Abstract: The geological conditions are unstable in Ji'an City of Jilin Province, and there is the probability of various geological disasters. In this paper, the debris flow in Qiupi of Jian City is studied in detail, which is still hazardous to the local residents. According to the geological conditions and the debris flow probability, the debris flow formation and control measures are comprehensively investigated in order to reduce the landslide harm to the local residents.

Abstract: Hydrological exploration tests are designed and field data are acquired. By combination of theories and experiments, hydro geological condition and water filling factors of Mayingbao coal mine field are analyzed systematically aiming to ascertaining threatening degree of water hazard of the mine field and studying theory of mine water hazard prevention and control. According to coupling theory between GIS and AHP, models of “water abundance index” and “vulnerability index” are founded respectively. By methods of “three maps-double predictions” and “vulnerability index”, water inrush probability from roof and floor of chief exploitable coal seams in the mine field are evaluated quantitatively. Comprehensive regionalization of roof water filling probability and evaluation regionalization of floor water inrush vulnerability of the seams are formed. Based on above study, water inflow of first mining area is predicted and suggestion of water prevention and control for safety production is put forward. Nonlinear and multivariate theory in present geoscience research is improved because of the above results and the research provides necessary basic data for the mine designing, preliminary and feasibility research and subsequent safety production.

Abstract: At present, planning and layout of fire station locations in our nation is mainly based on drawing method and grid method with little consideration of spatial distribution characteristics of fire risk in urban areas. Based on this background, this paper combines fire risk assessment with GIS technology and presents an approach to optimizing layout of urban fire station based on fire risk assessment. According to the result of urban fire risk assessment, the approach sets areas with higher potential fire risk as key points of urban fire safety, makes a gradual optimization of potential fire stations with 2-min respond time from fire station to fire scene and the shortest distance from fire station to various fire scenes as the major limiting factor, and finally determines the spatial layout of fire stations. This paper takes Fuzhou in Fujian Province as the study area and conducts an empirical research.

Abstract: The site selection of disasters mitigation emergency congregate shelter is layout and division to place type, quantity, location, and service responsibility area. Reasonable location layout, can not only realize the shelters service fairness, but also ensure quickly and orderly evacuation of personnel and rescue activities during disaster. This paper reviews the research status of disasters mitigation emergency congregate shelter planning, introduces the related standards on site scale and security, both summarizes and comments the achieved results in the evaluation, selection procedures, theoretical models and so on. For the existing problems, it proposes the next research priorities and ideas.
