Abstract: This paper aims to sequence the production plan of a condenser unit of an air-conditioned assembly line, which is a manual assembly line. In this case there are six different models with different required production rate that must be assembled simultaneously. The assembly line consists of twenty four workstations with thirty four workers. Due to the fact that the cycle time of each condenser model is varied. Thus, it is difficult to design a launching pattern so that the production requirement of each model is exactly met at each production hour. In turn, the production demand of some models can be satisfied while other models cannot be met. In order to solve this problem, the fixed rate launching algorithm is applied and the result is considered satisfactory.

Abstract: Technical innovation is the necessary path for industry in Pearl River Delta to success in industrial transformation and upgrading, the research about how to keep the total increase in the basis as well as to optimize the export structure of manufacturing, and how to keep the whole manufacturing benefits of the Pearl River Delta region sustainably is very necessary. Firstly, this paper adopts the multiple regression analysis to analyze how the technological innovation to optimize the industrial structure of manufacturing in the Pearl River Delta region. Secondly, the author makes a detailed explanation about the technical innovations impact on the manufactured exports with three different technology levels (high-to-low). Finally, this paper offers some specific advice according to the analysis results.

Abstract: This letter presents a Ka-band(26.5GHz-40GHz) microstrip patch antenna with pattern reconfigurable characteristic. The antenna is provided with five rectangular patches and four RF MEMS (microelectromechanical systems for RF circuits) switches. The central patch and other surrounding patches are connected by the switches. By changing the states of the switches, the antenna can achieve four radiation patterns and it is designed and simulated by using Ansoft HFSS. In addition, the different states are operated at the same centre frequency of 35GHz and the gain of the main radiation direction is about 7.5dB

Abstract: The calculations of stresses acting on the wall of boiler drum during the start-up process are presented in this paper. On the basis of the temperature measurements, which were carried out to determine the temperature distribution along the circumference of the outer wall of boiler drum, the temperature at the inner wall surface is determined using the inverse methods. The computations are carried out for the whole operation cycle of the power plant. Therefore, the pressure and temperatures are updated at consecutive time steps. These parameters allow determining the maximum values of circumferential, axial and Von Misses stresses during the operation cycle of steam boiler.

Abstract: Evanescent field had been widely used in bio and chemical sensors. However in most cases, evanescent field is not maximized and thus the performance of the sensor is not optimized. It is the aim of the paper to optimize the design of 1:2 Y-branch splitter optical waveguide through simulation by using FD-BPM. Y-branch splitter without taper are simulated to optimize the power loss. Width of waveguide and effective angle are manipulated in the power loss optimization. The result shows that evanescent field is maximized at optimized thickness and width. The result suggests that Y-branch splitter with width of 25μm, effective angle of 6.24° is the best design for evanescent field sensor application with both high sensitivity and signal to noise ratio.

Abstract: Micromixer is essential component of microfluidic system which has wide application in the field of chemistry and biochemistry. A highly efficient and easily fabricated three dimensional micromixer based on chaotic advection is proposed and investigated. The depth of 25μm for each layer of micromixer and two kinds of fluids, which have viscosities of 0.00097kgm-1s-1 and 0.186kgm-1s-1 with Re number from 0.001 to 150, are adopted for numerical investigation of mixing efficiency by using ANSYS-Fluent. High mixing index of more than 90% can be obtained by using less than 300μm of length under Re number of 0.01 for mixing Fluid 1. However, it requires 850μm to achieve mixing index of more than 90% for hard-to-mix Fluid 2.

Abstract: In this paper, growth and collapse of a cavitation bubble inside a rigid cylinder with a compliant coating (a model of humans vessels) is studied using Boundary Integral Equation and Finite Difference Methods. The fluid flow is treated as a potential flow and Boundary Integral Equation Method is used to solve Laplaces equation for velocity potential. The compliant coating is modeled as a membrane with a spring foundation. The effects of the parameters describing the flow and the parameters describing the compliant coating on the interaction between the fluid and the cylindrical compliant coating are shown throughout the numerical results. It is shown that by increasing the compliancy of the coating, the bubble life time is decreased and the mass per unit area has an important role in bubble behavior.

Abstract: Based on the movement characteristics, the four-bar mechanism of Micro-swing Engine was designed. The mechanism transform swing movement into rotary motion. With the kinematics model, the moving law of four-bar mechanism was analyzied. And simulate the machinery with computer to abtain the movement of curve of four-bar mechanism. The results show that the four-bar mechanism of Micro-swing Engine running smoothly and the inertia can be overcome the dead point. This will provides the theoretical basis for four-bar mechanism of Micro-swing Engine.

Abstract: The dehumidifier is a key component in liquid desiccant air conditioning systems. Various mathematical models of heat and mass transfer processes inside the dehumidifier are introduced and numerically solved in the literature. Analytical solutions have more advantages than numerical solutions in studying the dehumidifier performance parameters. This paper presents the results from an analytical model for the performance of an adiabatic cross flow liquid desiccant air dehumidifier. Calcium chloride is used as desiccant material in this investigation. Both humidity and temperature effectiveness of the dehumidifier are used to predict the performance of the device under various operating conditions. Good accuracy has been found between analytical solution and reliable experimental results with a maximum deviation of +6.63% and -5.65% in the moisture removal rate. The method developed here can be used in the quick prediction of the dehumidifier performance. The exit parameters from the dehumidifier are evaluated under the effects of variables such as air temperature and humidity, desiccant temperature and concentration and air to desiccant flow rates. The results show that hot humid air and desiccant concentration have the greatest impact on the performance of the dehumidifier.

Abstract: This article used ecological function as an indicator to analyze the relationship between the ecology target value and the characteristic time, obtained the characteristic time value in the maximum ecology function value, made a numerical calculation between ecology target value and the characteristic time. It shows that the ecological function value has a change process with the characteristic time that increases firstly and then decreases, which verifies the calculation results. Simultaneously, it is analyzed the impact to ecology target value with the temperature gradient and other factors. It could provide some help to future research.
