Abstract: Maintenance of railway permanent way infrastructure plays a vital role in protecting the safety of railway transport. The infrastructure management of railway permanent way rarely involves effective information technology, causing the lack of supplies basis and the difficulty in tracking the relevant information of materials when problems arise in the facilities performance. This article introduced the concept of life-cycle management into the management of maintenance-of-way infrastructure and studied the information coding work on various stages of the life cycle. Simultaneously, the paper discussed how to integrate the resource of facilities and materials with the information management of maintenance-of-way infrastructure in the light of this theory.

Abstract: The cause of formation, the hazardless and distribution in our country of red clay is presented. The engineering characteristics of red clay are related. During a number of entity highway engineering, various kinds of treatment methods are recounted and the applicability is analyzed. Some suggestions are proposed for further study in highway engineering of red clay clay.

Abstract: There are a lot of rock pile body around GuiZhou mountain area, highway construction will pass by these bad geological body inevitably, the fill subgrade built on rock pile body is liable to instability and slip. Take a section fill subgrade of YuKai highway as an example, the sliding mechanism of fill subgrade on rock pile body was analyzed, the scientific division and comprehensive treatment measures were proposed for the landslide.

Abstract: Densification and settlement are two important behavior parameters of railway ballast under cyclic loading. This paper presents numerical simulation using discrete element method which studies the evolution of densification of railway ballast in specified region under cyclic loading. The simulation results show that with the increase of cyclic loading time, the densification of railway ballast under sleeper is also increasing, and the rate of increase becomes smaller and smaller. This paper presents a new full-scale complete railway track loading experimental facility which studies the evolution of settlement of ballasted railway track under cyclic loading. The experimental results show that with the increase of number of load cycles, the settlement of ballasted railway track is also increasing, and the rate of increase becomes smaller and smaller.

Abstract: Typical loess areas of Shanxi test section as the basis, through on-site tests, the paper presents the relationship between filed CBR, compaction, moisture content and on-site bearing plate modulus. Through laboratory experiments, the paper examines the variation of resilient modulus and CBR in different water content and degree of compaction conditions. The correlation between site and interior strength indicators was analyzed and the result shows that indicators tested in laboratory have good correlation while indicators tested in field have poor correlation. Key words: loess; rebound modules; CBR; moisture content;compaction; correlation

Abstract: Vertical vibration of identical simply supported bridges traversed by a train with uniformly distributed mass is investigated in this paper. The train with passengers onboard is simplified as a uniformly distributed two-layer spring-mass system as well as the bridges are simplified as consecutive simply supported Euler-Bernoulli beams. To analyze dynamic responses of the train and the bridges, the dynamic governing equation of the system is obtained and solved by a specific linear interpolating method and numerical integral methods. The result graphs indicate that dynamic responses of both beam and train carriage increase along with the mass ratio of bogie to car.

Abstract: Composite modified asphalts with micron fly ash/SBS and nanocalcium carbonate (nanoCaCO3)/ SBS were prepared respectively by melt blending. The ageing properties and physical properties of micron fly ash/SBS and CaCO3/SBS modified bitumen were investigated. The results demonstrate that micron fly ash/SBS modified bitumen exhibited an increasing softening point, a decreasing penetration and a decreasing ductility. Compared with that of SBS modified bitumen, the anti-aging property of the micron fly ash/SBS modified bitumen becomes worse. Effects of the nanoCaCO3 on the properties of SBS modified asphalt appear as a decreasing penetration, an increasing softening point, and a decreasing ductility. The anti-aging property of the CaCO3/SBS modified asphalt was better than that of the SBS modified asphalt.

Abstract: the mechanical analysis of bridge deck pavement is limited at home and abroad. As is known to all, when we referred to the load-carrying capability of a bridge, the deck pavement is surely the weakest part. It is necessary to analyze the distribution of stress on bridge deck pavement, then design the pavement reasonably. In this paper, the model of bridge deck structure can be analyzed using solid model of bridge deck established in the principle of the finite element software. The analysis mainly includes two sides: one is analyzing the tensile stress of the deck caused by vehicle from Horizontals and verticals;the other is about finding the position of the most unfavorable load, and replacing corrosion-resistant GFRP with common steel ,then establishing GFRP reinforced asphalt bridge deck solid model. The author will analyze the setting states and the most suitable location of GFRP bras under the vehicle load on the bridge deck. At last we make the conclusion that the GFRP bars can effectively undertake the stress to prevent cracking.

Abstract: Based on the project of Jing-Jin-Tang Highways bridge deck maintenance, this paper will study the raw material, production technology and construction control of high content SBS modified asphalt waterproof layer. According to the long-term follow-up inspection and the test data to constructed project, we could conclude that high content SBS modified asphalt waterproof layer has a good waterproof performance. It prolongs the service life of the bridge deck greatly and ensures the safe operation of the bridge.

Abstract: On the background of one railway freight yard in Xiao Yong railway , and firstly the use of thin-walled tubular pile is determined in railroad yard through the comparison with other methods in the soft foundation reinforcement. Secondly, the effect of the soft-soil foundation reinforcement combined with the numerical simulation and the measured data is analyzed. Finally, it is defined that the thin-walled tubular piles has good value in the treatment of the high-filling railway yard, and it also can provide a new method for the improvement of the soft subgrade in railway freight yard.
