Edited by:
P. Duhaj, P. Mrafko and P. Svec
Online since: January 1993
Description: Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).
The volume presents 120 papers covering all important aspects of amorphous metallic materials.
The volume presents 120 papers covering all important aspects of amorphous metallic materials.
Edited by:
M.A. Taha and N.A. El-Mahallawy
Online since: January 1993
Description: The volume presents the papers presented at the International Symposium on Metal Matrix Composites (ISMMC) held in Cairo in 1992. All papers have been reviewed and edited.
Edited by:
F.H. Froes and T. Khan
Online since: January 1992
Description: The volume presents the results of the 2nd ASM Paris conference on advanced materials. The theme of the meeting was selected to recognize that materials have matured to a stage where significant advances in the future require more than the traditional microstructure-mechanical property relationships approach. Greater emphasis must rahter be placed on synthesis/processing and modelling of advanced materials to achieve enhanced levels of physical and mechanical performance.
Edited by:
A.C. Vajpei and G.S. Upadhyaya
Online since: January 1992
Description: There has been a great upsurge in recent years in the area of high Tc superconductors. Although there are numerous books and monographs related largely to their physics and chemistry, scattered informations are available on their processing aspects.
Edited by:
M. Buggy and S. Hampshire
Online since: January 1992
Description: The volume presents a unique collection of review and research papers in some of the most important materials research areas. Special attention is given to ceramic materials and materials for extreme environments.
Edited by:
John E. Ritter
Online since: January 1992
Description: Erosion of ceramic materials often limits their use in many structural applications such as turbine blades, turbocharger rotors, bearings, replacement hip joints, cutting tools, and windscreens and nose cones of supersonic aircraft. The degradation effects of erosion arise because of the extreme susceptibility of ceramics to localized surface cracking when impacted by a hard particle.
Edited by:
D.L. Olson and Th.H. North
Online since: January 1992
Description: The book first addresses the advancements in the determination of steel weld microstructure and then systematically reviews progress in the various ferrous alloy systems starting out with low carbon steels, going through stainless steels and finishing with duplex stainless steels.
Edited by:
C. Boulesteix
Online since: January 1992
Description: The relative importance of oxides in the field of materials science has been spectacularly increasing during the last twenty years. First the study of ferroelectrics kept the attention of scientists. Nevertheless this domain is far from being worked out and a lot of new results and of new fields of interest were recently discovered.
Edited by:
