Self-Oscillations of Current Density upon Nonequilibrium Electronic Phase Transition in Nearly Magnetic FeSi
Abstract:
Within an sd-model involving a spin-fluctuation method, the behavior of strong-paramagnetic semiconductor FeSi in strong electrical field is numerically investigated. It is established that due to the self-heat phenomenon there exists a bi-stable state, and the (I-U)-characteristic is S-like in shape. It is shown that in the bistable area there arise current self-oscillations at a constant voltage.
