In the work described in this paper, the change in thermoelastic constant for three materials (316L stainless steel, AA2024 and AA7085) with different strain hardening characteristics is investigated.
Success in detecting these changes has been achieved by applying very large residual stress or plastic strain, or by using materials that are very sensitive to the mean stress effect.
Secondly, since it was suggested that the material dislocation that occurs during strain hardening affects the magnitude of the change in K, three materials with different strain hardening characteristics are investigated.

Characterization of Cathode Materials Ln0.7Sr0.2Ca0.1Co0.7Fe0.3O2.85 ( Ln=La, Pr and Nd ) Synthesized by Microwave Sintering Techniques Jie Zhao 1,2,a, Jiang Fu 1 , Yong Fu 1, Yuna Zhao1, Yongchang Ma 1,2 1 School of Materials Science & Engineering, Tianjin University of Technology, Tianjin 300384, China; 2 Key Laboratory of Display Materials and Photoelectric Devices (Tianjin University of Technology), Ministry of Education, Tianjin 300384, China; a vzhaoj @ tjut.edu.cn Keywords: LnSCCF; cathode materials; microwave sintering; perovskite phase; electrical conductivity; thermal expansion behavior Abstract.
Conventional sintering (CS) is widely used for the cathode materials.
Compared with the CS, TECs of LnSCCF cathode materials prepared by MWS reduce significantly.
This indicates that LnSCCF cathode materials prepared by MWS are more stable than those by CS.
The synthesized materials exhibit a single phase with rhombohedral or cubic perovskite structure after sintered at 1200 ℃ for 20 min.

Hard and brittle materials such as silicon and ceramic materials are difficult to machining due to their brittle properties.
By the ductile-mode machining, delicate features with high accuracy can be created on these materials by mechanical micro/nano machining.
However, these materials are very brittle.
In ductile-mode machining, brittle materials can be machined in a ductile-mode with good surface finish and no surface pitting or cracking.

From the existing phenomenological descriptions of powder materials compaction [19], the phenomenology of Ivensen [20, 21] is widely used.
It is known that according to such a law, the sizes of grains in ceramic materials are most often distributed [23].

Introduction In the field of smart materials, magnetorheological fluid (MRF) has been widely used in various devices of vibration control [1-3].
MRF materials experience reversible changes in physical properties such as viscosity, plasticity, elasticity and shear modulus when subjected to different magnetic fields.

We present numerical simulation of air entrapment in composite materials manufactured by the resin transfer molding (RTM) process.
The prediction of air void formation has been an important topic because air voids in composite materials deteriorate the mechanical properties of the part.
