The sample in this study was characterized with Raman spectrometer (Bruker, Inc.) at l = 523 nm in Chemistry Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Bandung Institute of Technology to identify the typical peaks of graphene layer in the deposited film.
The D-band, which is the strongest peak in the Raman spectra of our sample, indicate that our sample contain very highly disorder sp2-hybridized structure.
Several factors accounted for the disorder structure were the significant number of defects induced by contamination of residue particles remaining in chamber, abundant edges and boundary effects that formed during deposition process [6,19,21].
When the temperature increases to 600oC, as shown in Fig.3., the amorphous carbon structure begins to transform into a hybrid structure of multilayer graphene and amorphous carbon.
