These special alloys can generally be classified into two main groups: heat-resistant alloys for elevated temperature service and nitrogen-alloyed steels for corrosion environments.
Steels of AISI 310 group are known as austenitic highly-alloyed stainless steels which are often used in high-temperature conditions.
The high content of alloying elements (especially chromium and nickel) gives the steel excellent resistance to oxidation as well as high strength at elevated temperatures.
The aim of this work was to study the effect of long-term annealing at 800 °C for various times up to 1740 hours on microstructure and to study the hardness of AISI 310S heat-resistant steel.

In the elements of structures with a limited resource during operation, significant cyclic stresses can occur, reaching and exceeding the yield strength; the results of an experimental study of the effect of the magnitude of preliminary plastic deformations on the strength and durability of structural alloys under low-cycle loading can be of undoubted interest for practice.

By further annealing the TiC layer is formed acting as a barrier and preventing the formation of the Fe- and Ti-based intermetallic compounds.
More often the aim of heating is relieving the stresses produced during the welding process, which result in a degradation of mechanical properties [15].
