The damper is designed to have an initial yielding at about 1 mm deformation with an initial stiffness of 75 kN/mm in the elastic range, estimated using the theory of curve beams from mechanics of materials by Boresi et al [7].
The 1940 El Centro earthquake is considered as the input disturbance with its intensity scaled to 223gal and 429 gal, respectively, to explore the seismic performance of the damper.
Figure 9 shows the comparison of the floor acceleration responses under El Centro earthquake of PGA=429 gal.

Works in this direction located these concentrations in the implant neck region (Natali and Pavan, 2002; Natali and Pavan, 2003; Djebbar et al., 2010) causing painful conditions in the jaw bone (Hoshaw et al., 1994; Jung et al., 1996; Heckmann et al., 2001).
To overcome these disadvantages, some researchers have proposed models with accessories such the intra mobile element (Babbush et al., 1987), the elastic collar around the neck of the implant (Abu-Hammad et al., 2000), or even an artificial ligament, Choi (2000) while other approaches have attempted to geometric modifications to optimize implant design according to their biomechanical performance (Papavasiliou et al., 1996; Geramy et al., 2004; Bozkaya et al., 2004; Lídia et al., 2004; Yokoyama et al., 2005).

Earthquake recordings from Dar-El-Beida of the 2003 Boumerdes earthquake were used as a seismic load.
Castaldo et al. [10] proposed a model based on the seismic reliability of buildings equipped with the friction pendulum system, the isolated structure at the base defined by a two-degree-of-freedom (2DOF) equivalent model.
Tajammolian et al. [14] investigated the seismic vulnerability of isolated buildings with triple concave friction pendulum (TCFP) devices by considering structural and isolator eccentricities.
The recordings of the Boumerdes earthquake of 2003 at the Dar-El-Beida station were used as a seismic load.

It can be easily observed in Fig. 6b that all the experimental data, including also the data obtained by Spigarelli et al. [9], collapse almost on the same band; it can be thus reasonably concluded that the initial microstructure only marginally influences the magnitude of the peak flow stress and that similar mechanisms are operative in the investigated alloys.
In the low-Z zone in Fig. 6b (Z<10+9 s-1), the data can be successfully described by the conventional simplified power law (Eq. 1) proposed by Mohamed and Langdon [10] with n = 3 exponent (since n=3.3), thus suggesting that in this regime, in perfect analogy with Al–Mg alloys, viscous-glide of dislocations in atmosphere of solute atoms is the rate controlling mechanism.
a) b) Fig. 6. a) Equivalent strain rate vs. peak stress and b) Zener–Hollomon parameter, with Q= 135 kJ/mol, for all the data summarised in the present study, compared to data E1 obtained by Spigarelli et al. [9].

The intensity of the bands observed at 3620.8cm-1 (Al-OH-Al with Al-Mg-OH stretching vibrations) decreases after activation of acid.
The peak of the Si-O-Si band at 988.1cm-1 has remained unchanged with treatment intensity; similar results have been reported by Christidis et al. (1997).
