Effects of Doping Si on the Preparation of Ternary Titanium Aluminum Carbide Powder by Pressureless Sintering

Results showed that Ti2AlC and Ti3AlC2 which had obvious layered structure were synthesized by pressureless sintering of 3Ti/1.1Al/1.8C at 1300ºC-1500ºC.
Interestingly, the character of layered structure became unconspicuous at same temperature.
When temperature reached 1500℃, crystal grain were more than that of 1400℃ with unconspicuous layer structure.
Moreover, since the character of layered structure of 211 phase is presented more obvious than that of 312 phase, the character of layered structure of doping Si became unconspicuous at same temperature..

Alumina and zirconia-alumina composite has been micro-structured in air using femtosecond laser.
When stabilized with 3 mol% yttria, zirconia tetragonal structure can maintain its high temperatures and be metastable at room temperature.
Previous studies show that these surface characteristics depend on surface chemistry [5], surface energy [6] and surface topography [4].
In fact, when a laser shot hit the surface of a material it changes the local electronic structure even for fluences below the threshold for damage.
Figure 2 below shows such structures; it is clearly seen a harsh ablation in figure 2 a), with evidence of fusion and grains much smaller than the ones found in the original structure.

The FTIR spectra were carried out to characterize the chemical structure by identifying the functional groups of the samples.

Abstract.
Introduction We have grown and investigated Al-doped CVD layers; such layers can be important both as voltage-supporting layers in high-voltage bipolar power device structures and as contact layers.
Our LTPL investigations further show that the structure of the Al-BE structure differs for the Si- and C-face of 6H (see Fig. 3.a and b).
For the 4H polytype no difference of the Al-BE structure was observed for the two faces.
This suggests that the properties of Al-BE intensity is face dependent for the 4H polytype, even if this is not shown by the structure of the BE.

XRD studies indicated that all of BPT films consisted of single phase of a bismuth-layered structure with well-developed rod-like grains.
In the present work, we fabricated Pr2O3-doped Bi4Ti3O12 thin films with rf magnetron sputtering technique, and their structures and electrical properties were studied in details.
According to the results, it is possible to think that the Bi-layered structure is always maintained in BPT and rather insensitive to the amount of Pr.
Experimental results reveal that all of BPT films consist of single phase of a bismuth-layered structure and consist of well-developed rod-like grains with random orientation.

Abstract: The thermal behavior of coal tar refined soft pitch (CTRSP) was investigated by using polarizing microscope with heating stage and thermogravimetric analyzer.
The model of average molecular structure parameters is improved model of Brown—Ladner (B-L).
Conclusion The properties of the CTRSP are softening point 30 ℃, 6.03% TI, 0.08% QI, average molecular weight of 292 by GPC, average molecular structure five rings linear arrangement and cata-condensed structure.
