It can be observed that the characteristic diffraction peaks of NiO at 37.354º, 43.281º and 63.762º appear at low sintering temperature of 400˚C but the diffraction is weak and wide, which indicates that a certain amount of NiO cubic phase has been generated at this sintering condition while poor crystal or partial amorphous characteristics are shown mainly resulting from small particle on the film and organic residues according to TG-DSC data.
At the first cycling, the irreversible reduction peak around 0.37V corresponds to the reduction of NiO to Ni nanoparticles, amorphous Li2O matrix and the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI).

In their research work, firstly, the time domain analysis was employed to identify whether there is a fault or not in main reduction gear in macroscopic view.

The asenic oxide reduction is found to be insignificant by (NH4)2S solution and NH3 plasma.
