Observation of damage evolution is of great importance to the understanding of the failure process of rock materials.
Introduction Rock is one of the most widely used but most complicated engineering materials.
The experiment of a circular disk under diametral compression, namely the Brazilian disc test, is a generally used experimental method to measure the tensile strength of rock materials [5,6].
In this paper, the similar idea is applied to the statistical analysis of strain field from DIC to analyze the damage of rock materials.
Method (DSCM), Key Engineering Materials, Vol. 326 (2006), p. 1117, (in Chinese) [8] M.A.

Abstract: The influence of DC steady magnetic field on dry-sliding friction and wear characteristics of friction pair of high-speed steel (HSS) ring / Ti6Al4V pin is studied by use of improved MPV-1500 type under normal temperature.
It is shown that the wear loss of ferromagnetic materials can be decreased by applying a steady magnetic field.
