The aim of this paper is to analyze and evaluate the synergetic nature of the effect of plasma-electrolytic technology on the surface being treated which is resulting in improvement of a number of physico-chemical and structural-mechanical properties along with surface cleaning and formation of functional coatings.
Metallographic research and analysis by method of differential scanning calorimetry of the zinc coatings obtained by plasma-electrolytic method on steel tape for cable armouring showed that the coating mainly consists of pure zinc but at the interface "coating – steel substrate" is evolved a Fe-Zn compound.

In some circumstances, core-shell structures seem to appear spontaneously, while alloying occurs for other alloys [4].
This is not a satisfactory representation of the diffusion in real alloys, where atoms can change places easily due to empty neighboring sites [7-8].
Here, we consider only one of the simplest and the most probable mechanisms seen in metal alloys, namely the vacancy-mediated mechanism.
Following the simple theory of a regular solid solution, binary alloys can be investigated by the criteria of mixing and separation (also so-called as demixing).

X80 pipeline steel is a low carbon, micro-alloyed high-grade steel and fairly new steel used as pipeline material in China and other countries.
The aim of this work is to provide essential insight into the mechanism of corrosion of pipe steel and its welds in alkaline sand soil.
Effects of Microstructure on Corrosion of X80 Steel The microstructure of the steel influences the properties of the corrosion layers, such as morphology and proportion of the various chemical compounds present[19,20].

Experimental procedure Al-11Si-Mg alloy was used as a matrix material; the alloy was prepared in-house from Al99.99 and pure Si, Mg.
A lump of alloy was placed on loose beds of diamond powders and heated to 800 in a nitrogen atmosphere holding 2 hours.

This study focuses on a process design of a hybrid bearing bushing consisting of the aluminium alloy EN-AW-6082 and the steel 100Cr6 using numerical simulation.
First research work focused on the production of hybrid bulk metal components through compound forging, where the different materials are joined during the forming process.

The micro hardness of the as sprayed coatings was measured by using Micro hardness Tester (VHM-002 Walter UHL, Germany) using 300 grams (2.941N) of load applied for a dwell time of 15 sec. 2.2 Oxidation studies in Air The cyclic oxidation studies on alloy substrate and Cr3C2–NiCr-coated alloy substrate were performed in air for 50 cycles.
The aim of cyclic loading is to create severe conditions for testing.
The parabolic rate constants Kp values for the bare substrate and Cr3C2–NiCr-coated alloy substrate after 50 cycles of high temperature oxidation were calculated and found to be 1.50 x 10-10 g2cm-4s-1 and 0.84 x 10-10 g2cm-4s-1 respectively.
