This study aims to study the corrosion rate with a continuous and discontinuous measurement method of weight loss using carbon steel specimens immersed in sodium chloride solution and further compare the two results.
However, the effect of absorbed oxygen is the opposite, which reduces the rate of release of metal compounds [5].
Consequently, this study aims to examine the corrosion rate of carbon steel experimentally in sodium chloride solution and distilled water continuously and discontinuously, and further compare the results of the two methods whether they yield the same or different values in the corrosion rate of the samples.
