Based on stress-strain data, processing maps of the steel were established.
At the same reduction, the stress increased with the increase in the strain rate and decrease in the temperature.
Fig.6 (a) shows the changes of elongation and reduction of area after compression under various reduction ratios and compression temperatures.
From Fig.6(a), it can be observed that the elongation and reduction of area increase with increasing the temperature and reduction ratio.

Reduction melting was carried out in graphite crucibles placed in a resistance furnace.
By the data of the analysis of equilibrium phase diagrams [21] of binary systems, the microstructure of the Al-Er master alloys should contain primary crystals of an aluminum solid solution (Al) and an [(Al) + Al3Er] eutectic.
Analysis of the microstructures of the master alloys under a scanning electron microscope (SEM) (Fig. 2) confirms the data of the phase diagrams.
The summarized data about size of the dendrite cells of (Al) and erbium content in the eutectic of master alloys are shown in Table 1.
Conclusions The novel Al-Er master alloys were prepared by the method of metallothermic reduction of chloride-fluoride melt.

But Pawlak’s Rough sets originally proposed to deal with categorical data, for numerical data must be processed after the discretization.
First, each attribute of the data sets are normalized to the range of 0~1, and then divided into two parts randomly, 60% of the data as training sets, 40% of the data as testing sets.
From Table 4, when the samples of the data sets are certain, the reduction features effectively shortened the operation time, especially for the data sets which have more samples, such as DALL, the effect became more obvious.
