result in an overall deterioration of the component mechanical properties.
Thus, estimation of the heat damaged layer thickness and its structural morphology, which affects the resultant properties of the machined surface, became an important concern to predict service life of machined components since components machined by µEDM such as micro-dies are often subjected to severe cyclic pressure and temperature loadings.
Current results suggest that properties of µEDM'ed surfaces are much more similar to the properties of conventional EDM'ed surfaces.

In composite laminates drilling, it has been shown that drill geometry and cutting parameters are the key factors that determine holes quality and delamination occurrence.
The damaged area and the delamination factor become then larger with the feed increase.
Fig. 9: Delamination factor Fd = Dmax /D Fig. 10: Influence of feed and tool geometry on the delamination factor Holes inside.
It aims to highlight the parameters that affect cutting forces and delamination.
Moreover, defects will be correlated with the mechanical properties of drilled specimens and crack propagation, and the different damage mechanisms encountered during mechanical tests will be discriminated.

But the generation of linear motor makes it possible that electrical energy directly converted into the mechanical energy of linear motion.
As a kind of special motor, due to the particularity of the running applications and working systems, as well as the special characteristics of motor structure (without ventilation cooling device)[3], as the increasing capacity ,the hot issues of linear motor are also prominent. when the temperature exceeds allowed working temperature, the electrical and mechanical properties of the motor will change, and this will affect motor’s performance and using life, so research on the temperature rise problem of linear motor is very important.
Motor loss includs copper loss, iron loss, mechanical loss and so on.

Introduction The graining is a new treatment style on the surface of aluminum and aluminum alloy, which makes the metals like wood, so the products have both metal properties and wooden appearance.
This paper screened main parameters that affected grain appearance referring to the literature [2], quantitatively described macro-feature, observed morphologies of graining zone and grainless zone by SEM, and preliminarily explained the grain forming with cyclic voltammetry experiment.
The orthogonal experiment that has five factors and four levels was done, the five factors are etching agent, thickener, stabilizer, current density and treating time.
Generally, a quite compact poor-conductive thin barrier layer has the property.
Based on the above explanation of cyclic voltammetry curves, it is suggested that the hydrogen evolution took place on some noncompact points of sample surface in the cathodic process of electrochemical graining, then the upper oxide film was destroyed by the mechanical power formed by hydrogen rising, the exposed regions appeared, which were the initial graining zones, the oxygen evolution happened in the following anodic process in these zones, at the same time, there were intergranular corrosion, general corrosion and oxide film regenerating, the regenerating was a weak layer with many pores , in which hydrogen and oxygen evolution continued.

During welding the elements are affected with heat-effect and mechanical loads, which result in inhomogeneous welded joint.
In case of matching condition, the evolved mechanical properties of the joint are equal or nearly the same as the base material.
In undermatching case the mechanical properties of the joint are lower than the base material properties, while in case of overmatching condition the joint properties are higher than the base material features.
It is necessary to note, that the mechanical properties of the welded joint exceed the minimal requirements of the base material in the case of undermatching filler metal [7].
