The first step in the reaction is expected to be the dissolution of ions such as Si2+, Ca2+, B3+ from a xerogel into the solution (Fig. 4a), leading to a break-up of the Si-O-Si or Si-O-B network of the xerogel, also adding boron may destroy the original network structure.

Synthesis of Ba1-XSrXTiO3 powders by KOH-KNO3molten salt method Tomohiko Kishiki, Masashi Higuchi, Takashi Asaka, Yasuo Azuma and Keiichi Katayama Department of Industrial Chemistry, Graduate School of Engineering, Tokai University, 1117, Kitakaname, Hiratsuka-city, Kanagawa, 259-1292, Japan Keywords: perovskite, Ba1-XSrXTiO3, molten salt method ABSTRACT The synthesis of Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3 (BST) powders was attempted using KOH-KNO3 molten salt.
The shape and aggregation state of the single-phase BST powder changed according to the heating temperature and the molten salt composition. 1 INTRODUCTION Barium strontium titanate (Ba1-XSrXTiO3:hereunder referred to as BST), which has a typical perovskite-type structure, shows excellent electrical properties similar to barium titanate (BaTiO3).

Although the self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) of thiol derivatives have been studied about their structures, adsorption kinetics and surface properties on gold surface, the SAMs of one kinds of thiol material have several problems in use of anchoring layer due to entangling effect caused by high densities of surface functional groups leading to steric hindrances.

Reflectance of Min-U-Sil at 800-700 cm-1 Result and Discussion Freshly ground quartz (Min-u-Sil) has sharply defined 680 quintuplets because of the wellcrystallized structure (C.I. = 9.6).
Reflectance spectra of a) Min-U-Sil and b) crude lignitic fine ball clay The DRIFTS is becoming an important technique for studying the surface chemistry of high surface area powder.

Because the incorporation of CO32-, the structures of HAP occurres obvious distortion, crystallinity decreased, porosity, particles uniform and well dispersed, surface area and the effective surface activity increased, adsorption capacity to heavy metals stronger, which can solidfy water-soluble heavy metal ions better[1].
