For example, FGMs consisting of ceramics and metals can be designed to reduce the thermal stress and to maintain the heat and corrosion resistances of ceramics and the mechanical strength or conductivity of metals.
In order to apply FGMs to engineering structures, their fracture performance under mechanical loading and other loadings should be studied[1,2].

The results are similar to Williams’ solution for the plane problems in homogeneous materials, and will be of wider application to engineering structures.
Introduction In the analysis of FGM plates and shells, the material properties are always assumed to be changing along the shell thickness, and the volume fraction of the ceramic is[1]: (1) where: h is the thickness, z is the coordinate along the thickness direction, n is non-homogeneous coefficient; In this paper, the power function FGMs is considered[1], the material properties changes along x-axis, the Young’s modulus is: (2) where: , E 0 is the Young’s modulus at, and are the non-homogeneous oefficients which can be adjust.
